About the adventure

Zobeck is free—but the price of that freedom is finally coming due. Ninety years ago, the people of Zobeck overthrew House Stross and ended their monarchy. What almost no one realized was that the old rulers had an ancient agreement with the mysterious Shadow Court. Now the fey consider that covenant broken—and they intend to reclaim what they believe was always theirs. Strange edicts appear across the city. Citizens disappear. Supernatural mist consumes entire neighborhoods. Powerful fey begin inserting themselves into Zobeck's politics. What begins as a local supernatural crisis will eventually send you beyond the Mortal Realm, down the eerie paths of Hecate's Road and into the Shadow Realm, where ancient bargains, dangerous rivalries, strange magic, and the politics of the fey determine the fate of Zobeck. Court & Shadow: The Broken Covenant is a complete level 1–10 Daggerheart campaign based on Kobold Press's Court & Shadow: Fey Courts Campaign Frame. Your characters will grow from local adventurers confronting strange happenings in Zobeck into influential figures navigating the deadly politics of the Shadow Court. This campaign introduces new character options from Court & Shadow, including its new ancestry, giving players the opportunity to create characters tied directly to this strange fey setting. We'll also use the campaign frame's special Status system: reputation and social standing matter in the Shadow Realm, determining who will speak with you, where you're welcome, and how powerful members of the Court treat you. But spending too much time in Shadow carries another danger: Corruption. The Shadow Realm can change more than your reputation. Its magic can seep into those exposed to it, making the journey into Shadow increasingly dangerous. Expect fey bargains, political intrigue, exploration, mystery, social maneuvering, meaningful choices, dangerous combat, and plenty of opportunities for creative problem-solving. Not every enemy needs to be fought. In the Shadow Court, the right words—or the wrong promise—can matter more than a sword. 🎭 Theatre of the Mind: This is a narrative-focused campaign emphasizing cinematic description, roleplay, and imagination rather than tactical grid combat. 🎲 Foundry VTT: Foundry handles character sheets, dice, handouts, atmospheric artwork, music, and campaign tracking while we play primarily Theatre of the Mind. 🌱 Beginner Friendly: No previous Daggerheart experience is required. New players are welcome, and you can learn the system as the campaign progresses. 📚 Levels 1–10: This is a full campaign, not a short adventure. You helped save Zobeck from the first incursion. Now you must discover why the fey have returned, what really happened to the ancient covenant, and whether Zobeck can remain free without making a new bargain with the shadows.

About me

Hello. Looking forward to exploring new games and systems with you all. I have GM’ed dnd5e and a bunch of pbta games but currently playing a lot of daggerheart and pathfinder 2e, also diving into starfinder 2e. Played some free league games and love learning teaching new games as well. I think one of my main strengths as a GM is my patience and ability to teach games.
