About the adventure
Ramisen is old, and he is dying. He is also the last remaining member of an ancient arcane order sworn to keep vigil over the Tomb of the Keeper. As an old family friend, he has asked you to enter the tomb in the foothills of the Desertsmouth Mountains on the southeastern edge of the great desert Anauroch. There, you must face the evil sealed inside and defeat once and for all, so the tomb need never be guarded again. He promises riches untold within the tomb, but also to empty the order's coffers for you upon your successful return. This is a one-shot adventure for a party of 5-6 level 11 characters, set in the Forgotten Realms. It will be combat heavy and roleplay lite. Combat will be tactical.

About me
I have been playing TTRPGs for about 35 years and running games for over 30 of those, starting with AD&D and dabbling with other systems (GURPS, Robotech, Shadowrun 2E, Pathfinder) before finally coming back to D&D 5E after a hiatus during COVID. I have a regular home game with the same group I've been playing with for nearly 20 years, but I have run games for several different groups during that time. I tend to stick to published material for my games, as I consider myself more of a storyteller than a composer of stories. As an accomplished vocalist, I am also experienced with using my voice as a tool, and I do try whenever possible to give distinct voices to the more significant characters I have to portray. My proudest moment as a GM was when I took the story and events of Baldur's Gate 2 and converted it to a tabletop version for D&D 3.5E as a passion project. That game ran for a little over 2 years, and was a great time for all.

Creating your character
Characters should be created on D&D Beyond prior to the start of the adventure using a 27-point buy and manual hit points. Starting level is 11, with standard starting equipment along with two uncommon magic items and one rare magic item. Character preferences should be set to 5.5e core rules, 5.5e expanded rules, subscriber content, and 5e expanded rules. Partnered content should be approved by me prior to using.

What Matt Ramos brings to the table
Combat for this adventure will be tactical and intense. Rules will be largely as written, but cool things can definitely happen sometimes. I will be using some voices for some of the NPCs in this adventure, as well.
