About the adventure
I have always loved puzzles, match games, riddles, sequence patterns, and so much more. In baldurs gate 3 when you had to match up specific positions of the light on the floor in the beginning area to unlock a door, I think that was wonderful. Sometimes even combat can be done in a riddle or puzzle like way. So what you should expect from this is to be put through logistics challenges, things that require teamwork, no lone heros or saviours of the teams. Con-language dialects, ciphers, psychics based naunce. All of it is going to be the central focus of how this plays out.

About me
Heyoo, just like with poetry and stories I am adaptive and quick on my feet to changes and challenges. I never like to turn away an idea unless it is aimed to intentionally ruin another players time, their mental health or crossing their triggers. I am always open to feedback because at the end of the day I just want you to enjoy your session. It brings me joy to hear laughter and players wanting to know when we can get together again. Oh and I have of course played baldurs gate 3 extensively lol.

Creating your character
Combat light. You can have combat be part of your character, there won't be zero combat. However, spells like shape water you might turn into a key and freeze it for a door, or maybe elementalism you shift the air flow to turn a gear. These are examples of course. Your character should be your own Nancy Drew or Sherlock holmes. That can be done with a variety of races and classes. Don't worry about min maxing your character either, just ensure that you create something you can enjoy playing that can work within a mystery like DND game. That is not to say you are forced to have high wisdom, charisma or intelligence stats. There will be flexibility around all of those things, so just make what you find fun that can fit the theme.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Discord and Google meet are our video platform options. I am willing to use talespire to create an interactive mystery map and maze for this campaign if there are enough players that would find that interesting. Elsewise, maps and theater of the mind should suffice for this. I'm also happy to do maps via legend keeper so that people have better ways to keep track of notes and scenes if we have to go back to something.
What Caleb Wright brings to the table
Rule of cool as always, but I will also provide digital note cards about each clue you find and awards or badges for each time you have solved a puzzle. It won't just be for the sake of exiting the maze, as something else at the end lyes waiting for you.
Homebrew rules
Open to suggestions from the players if they want anything considered. I don't mind potions as bonus actions, conversation during combat, or an increasing difficulty scale with each failure on dice checks too.
