Join me every Saturday morning for not one, but two standalone tales of horror, dark humor, and twisted reflections of humanity's darker desires. Each session is a self-contained story featuring a new cast of characters, allowing you to jump in at any time without needing to follow an ongoing campaign. Step into the shoes of shady opportunists, desperate souls, well-meaning fools, and those who simply couldn't leave well enough alone. Hi, I'm Dave! I've been playing tabletop RPGs for most of my life and have spent years behind the GM screen crafting unforgettable adventures. While I enjoy a good fantasy epic, my passion lies in atmospheric horror—stories filled with creeping dread, difficult choices, and mysteries that linger long after the session ends. I believe horror works best when everyone at the table feels comfortable exploring it. That's why I make player safety and communication a core part of every game. I use safety tools, check in with players when needed, and work with the group to ensure the horror stays immersive without crossing personal boundaries. The goal is to create unforgettable stories, not uncomfortable experiences. Whether you're brand new to tabletop RPGs or a veteran looking for a deeply immersive experience, my table is open to everyone. I strive to foster an inclusive, respectful environment where players from all backgrounds can explore dark worlds with confidence and have fun doing it. Outside of gaming, I'm a professional musician and the creator of Hangman's Gate RPG, where I stream tabletop games and develop original adventures and settings. Creating your character
Each week a short plot of the stories for the week and the characters available will be listed in the discord for that week’s game. I suggest taking some time to discuss with your fellow players which roles you would prefer, however in the name of fairness character selection will be first come first serve. For those not familiar with Stories from the Grave, The GM creates castings for the characters players pick the one they wish to play as and complete a 25 word casting statement; An example: “Good looks but hides his impending baldness with a toupee, dark brown hair, average build, wears flashy clothes when in public”. All other mechanical information will be taken care of for you.

What David brings to the table
I bring a focus on entertaining and meaningful narratives. And strive to make sure that the technical aspects of the game only serves to improve the narrative of our stories. I focus on ensuring player enjoyment, and safety while exploring dark subject matter. For these games, I will also be bringing a signature narrator character to fully immerse you into these worlds.

How David creates a safe table
• Lines & Veils: I will provide a Lines & Veils form for all players to fill out, and I will compose a full master list for everyone before the game starts. • In-Game Safety Tools: I will have text chat open at all times, where I can see if anyone ask for a change in narrative, and also encourage players to speak up if at anytime a scene becomes to intense. • Post-Game Aftercare: I provide a post-game discussion for aftercare. This usually takes around 15 minutes, but if extra time is needed, I will stay and spend as long as necessary to ensure everyone decompresses safely. • Basic Human Decency: This is a safe place for people of all walks of life, regardless of sexuality, gender identity, race, or any other factors. Disrespect of any kind will not be tolerated.
