About the adventure
It is a time of shaky peace in the land, in the wake of wars, conquest and strife. In the aftermath of conflict, however, the people found themselves struggling to survive, with the threat of new war ever-present on the horizon, the fear of foreign invaders, the worry not having enough resources to get by, the era of peace was not an era of calm or comfort. And so it came to be that the Glorious Imperium, founded by the great heroes of the battles fought, brought comfort and calm to this time of peace by creating the Saltfire Run, a celebration of heroism. The Saltfire Run would unify the land, creating a spark of hope to burn in the hearts of the masses, as young aspirants from across the land would gather, take up arms, and compete to represent their towns and homes in an effort to become Champions of Salt and Flame. Under the watchful, guiding eye of Lord Drakkenwyld, the first champion of Salt and Flame, new heroes draw steel, fighting through waves of monsters, dungeons, and challenges to bring hope, glory, and better resources to their various homes.

About me
My name is Dash Kwiatkowski, and I am an award-winning TTRPG Writer (I was on the team for Paizo's Tian Xia World Guide) as well as an award winning Paranormal Investigator (you can watch my queer ghost hunting show "Liminal" on Tubi and Fawesome.tv). I have been on stage since I was 12-13 years old, playing music and acting in school theater, and I have loved tabletop roleplaying games since I was a weird, lonely child rolling up characters with my 3.5 edition PHB regardless of the fact that I did not have people to play D&D with! I've been DMing for most of my adult life, starting earnestly with the several year running actual play podcast "Lost in the Multiverse," where we featured guests like Ray Wise (Robocop), Janet Varney (Avatar: Legend of Korra) and more. My DMing style leans more cinematic, and is roleplay heavy, and I love nothing more than creating elaborate plots integrating the backstories of my players. I also tend to lean comedic, as I spent over a decade as a professionally touring stand up comedian, though I tend to lean away from a campaign that is PURELY comedic.

Creating your character
We'll be creating characters together in a free session 0. I encourage you to bring ideas that you would be excited about to that session zero, but we'll be rolling for stats together! I would love for you to print out one of the new 5.5 2024 rules character sheets to have in front of you as you play, to fill out as we go!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We'll be playing in theater of the mind over Discord, so make sure you have a discord account! You'll be joining a discord server to play in this campaign that will be shared with you!
What Dash brings to the table
As a GM I will be painting you as vivid a world as I can. We will sometimes use music, for combat or tone. We'll mostly be playing by the rules, however, if you can make a pitch for the bending of a rule, I am usually happy to hear your pitch. Roleplay is HEAVILY encouraged, and while I understand not everyone is comfortable doing a full voice, I hope that you'll be in character when you speak as your character. I will be doing a plethora of character voices for the various NPCs you engage with.

How Dash creates a safe table
I'll be sending out a lines and veils document in advance! We'll also be checking in verbally to see any hard lines or content specific things that people are uncomfortable with! The comfort and safety of everyone at the table is PARAMOUNT for me so we'll be discussing red, yellow, and green light safety and how everyone feels most comfortable expressing their needs!
