About me

Hey, I'm Nikola! A creature with a 🧠 for systems and a ❤️ for story. You've found the good game McGuffin I run highly collaborative, role play heavy games, with a focus on dark-themes and mysteries. PS: Unapologetically committed to creating Roses and Thorns to either delight or sting you with (for the story, naturally)

Character creation

Creating your character

- Character creation will happen during session 0 - Stats are either decided with point buy or by rolling 3d6 (with 1 reroll) - Starting level is 3

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The only requirements I have is Discord, Alchemy VTT and a willingness to be on camera so we can all gauge reactions and emotions at the table

What Nikola Steensen brings to the table

I use character voices sometimes and utilize curated music and animated scenes through alchemy. My games contain story driven, tactical and intense combat between quieter moments. I love the "rule of cool" within a certain limit of reason. I love it when players engage and try things. In these cases I will mostly make it a dice roll when unsure whether something would be possible.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew rules: - I (or the dying player) roll hidden death saves for suspense - Critical hits always have the top result of one damage die

Safety

How Nikola Steensen creates a safe table

In session 0 we will go over: - Character Creation - Homebrew Rules - Lines & Veils Aftercare: - I will offer the players to join an after game "wind down" to relax and talk - Or have conversations should there be need to alleviate some tension at the table
