About the adventure
Chained in the dark, stripped of your gear, and marched through tunnels no sane person would enter willingly, that's where your story begins. This campaign follows the Out of the Abyss module, dropping your party into the Underdark as prisoners of the Drow, forced to claw your way to freedom through fungal caverns, forgotten ruins, and rivers that don't see sunlight. This isn't a dungeon crawl with a safety net. Food and water are scarce, the terrain fights you as much as the monsters do, and a spreading corruption from below is starting to warp the world in ways no one can explain. You'll need to scavenge, barter, and bond with strange allies (and stranger enemies) if you want any shot at seeing the surface again. Expect a slower-burn, exploration-heavy game with a non-linear map, the choices you make about who to trust and where to go will shape how (and if) your story ends. There's also a psychological horror thread running underneath it all: the deeper you go, the more the Underdark gets inside your head. This table leans into heavy roleplay, and immersive narration, with room for creative problem-solving. Great for players who want a long-form survival horror campaign with real stakes and a strong sense of place.

About me
Hi, I'm Davi. I'm currently a university student from the UK and an unapologetic fantasy nerd. I started running D&D when I was eleven after falling in love with fantasy worlds where ordinary people could become legends. What began as running games for friends somehow turned into a huge part of my life. Seven years later, I still spend most days thinking about stories, worldbuilding, and the next adventure. Outside of tabletop games, you'll usually find me buried in fantasy novels, sketching out new ideas for settings, or disappearing down some obscure bit of lore that absolutely didn't need three hours of research. I'm also a player whenever I get the chance. I love being on both sides of the screen, and some of my favourite memories come from sitting at someone else's table and getting completely swept up in their world. More than anything, I enjoy meeting people through this hobby. Some of my closest friendships started because a group of strangers decided to roll some dice together. When I'm not studying or running games, I'm usually building something new, whether that's a homebrew system, a setting, a one-shot, or a completely unnecessary spreadsheet that seemed like a good idea at the time.

Creating your character
Characters are built using the 2024 Player's Handbook (additional splat books can be discussed on request). Character creation happens live during Session 0, or one-on-one beforehand if you're joining mid-campaign, no prior prep required. Pre-built characters will also be available for anyone who'd rather skip the build process and jump straight into play. New characters start at level 1, or match the party's current level if joining later. Ability scores are generated using your choice of array (standard array included).

How Davi creates a safe table
Before your first session, you'll fill out an online copy of Monte Cook's RPG Consent Checklist so I know your lines and veils ahead of time. X, N, and O signals can be raised via chat or DM at any point during play. Session 0 covers character creation alongside a group discussion of expected themes, table conduct, and shared expectations. After each session, players can share stars and wishes so the game keeps evolving to fit what the table actually wants.
