About the adventure
Long before Earthfall shattered the world, before the Runelords vanished into legend, there was one war they tried to erase from history. Two of Thassilon's greatest Runelords marched north with armies thought impossible to defeat. They lost. Their defeat was buried beneath centuries of lies. The names of the heroes faded into myth. Only fragments of an old fireside tale survived—a story of a shattered star-metal sword called Stormrend and the mysterious First Oathkeeper who united the peoples of the North against impossible odds. Now, in the final years before Earthfall, ancient powers search once more for the lost blade. If the Runelords recover Stormrend, they may reshape history before the world itself falls. You are among the champions chosen to find it first. Stormrend Legacy is a Hombrew campaign inspired by: Norse mythology and Viking sagas Paizo's Age of Legend and ancient Thassilon Epic fantasy adventures like The Lord of the Rings and The Witcher Exploration-focused campaigns where diplomacy matters as much as combat Rather than exploring the aftermath of ancient history, you'll experience the final years before Earthfall while uncovering the truth behind one of Thassilon's greatest military failures. Your choices don't simply change a village. They determine whether entire nations stand together when the world begins to end. What Makes This Campaign Different? This isn't a dungeon crawl. Expect: • Massive wilderness expeditions across the frozen north • Sea voyages through dangerous Arctic waters • Political negotiations between rival kingdoms • Ancient ruins hiding forgotten history • Mythic trials worthy of legendary heroes • Difficult moral choices with lasting consequences • Building alliances that will shape the final war Combat is frequent and exciting—but many of the campaign's greatest victories are earned through diplomacy, clever thinking, and keeping your word. About me
I've been running tabletop roleplaying games for over 10 years and have been a player for more than 15. While most of my experience is with Pathfinder First Edition, I've also spent the last several years running a long-term home campaign using a hybrid of Pathfinder and D&D 5e. My passion lies in creating memorable stories, exciting encounters, and a table where players feel empowered to think creatively. My GM style is flexible and collaborative. I enjoy rewarding clever ideas and embracing the "rule of cool" when it enhances the story. If you can explain what your character is trying to accomplish, I'll work with you to find a fair and fun way to bring it to life. I strive to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where players can immerse themselves in adventure, roleplay, and the occasional bit of chaos that makes tabletop gaming so memorable. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or brand new to the hobby, my goal is to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience and leaves the table with stories worth telling. Beyond the game itself, one of the things I cherish most about this hobby is sharing it with others. I've been teaching my 9-year-old son how to play, and I hope to help inspire the next generation of adventurers to discover the same love for storytelling and imagination that has brought so much joy to my own life.

Creating your character
Stormrend Legacy is a campaign about ordinary adventurers becoming legendary heroes. Your character begins as someone with a reason to venture into the Frozen North, but over the course of the campaign, they will become one of the new Oathkeepers—champions destined to unite nations before Earthfall. This is a story of exploration, discovery, diplomacy, sacrifice, and the preservation of history. Characters who are curious, honorable, and willing to work together will thrive. Starting Level 1 progresses Level 20, using milestone advancement. Any non-evil alignment is welcome. Characters may disagree politically, philosophically, or religiously, but they must be willing to cooperate with the party and pursue the campaign's central goal. The best characters already have a reason to seek forgotten places or travel beyond civilization. Characters don't need to be famous heroes—just someone whose curiosity or sense of duty drives them north. Every Pathfinder/D&D class has opportunities to shine. If you're interested in an unusual concept, I'm happy to help integrate it into the story. I also have two of my own Homebrew Prestige classes. The campaign is set in the far north during the Age of Legend, so northern ancestries naturally fit the setting. Excellent: Human (Ulfen, Shoanti, Kellid, Erutaki), Snowcaster Elf, Dwarf, Half-Elf, Half-Orc Very Good: Gnome, Halfling Uncommon but Interesting: Aasimar, Tiefling, Oread, Samsaran, Skinwalker Rare ancestries are absolutely welcome, but should include a compelling reason for being so far north before Earthfall. Every skill has opportunities throughout the campaign, but these appear frequently: Exploration: Survival, Perception, Climb, Swim Knowledge: Knowledge (History), Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (Geography), Knowledge (Engineering) Social: Diplomacy, Sense Motive, Bluff, Intimidate Utility: Linguistics, Profession (Sailor), Disable Device Players who invest in exploration and knowledge skills will uncover secrets that others may never find. Helpful Languages: Knowing ancient or regional languages- Northern Tongues; Hallit, Skald, Varki, Erutaki; Ancient Languages: Thassilonian, Ancient Azlanti, Giant, Dwarven, Sylvan Ability Scores: We will use a 6×6 roll grid for ability scores. Roll 4d6, rerolling all 1s, and keep the highest three dice for each result. Fill the grid from left to right, top to bottom until all 36 spaces are complete. Once everyone is finished, choose one complete row, column, or diagonal to use as your six ability scores. For Roll20, use: [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] [[4d6r<1kh3]] We’ll build the full grid together during Session 0.

What LordTank (Sebastian) brings to the table
My goal is to create a game where everyone at the table is invested in the story, excited for each session, and leaves feeling like their character mattered. I strive to balance engaging roleplay, meaningful combat, and memorable exploration while giving every player opportunities to shine. I enjoy bringing NPCs to life through distinct voices, personalities, and mannerisms. While I'm not a professional voice actor, I believe memorable characters come from how they interact with the party just as much as how they sound. I also use ambient music, environmental sound effects, and battle themes to help establish the mood without overwhelming the game. Combat in my games is tactical and challenging. Enemies use intelligent tactics appropriate to their abilities, and the world reacts logically to the players' decisions. Victory should feel earned, but I never design encounters simply to defeat the party. Clever planning, teamwork, and creative problem-solving are often just as effective as raw combat power. I enjoy rewarding creative thinking. If you come up with an inventive solution that fits the situation, I'll usually lean toward making it work. While I generally run Pathfinder according to the Rules as Written, I also recognize that the rules exist to support exciting stories. When appropriate, I'm happy to embrace the Rule of Cool—as long as it stays fair, consistent, and fun for everyone at the table. I place a strong emphasis on character-driven storytelling. I encourage players to create backstories, personal goals, and relationships that can become part of the campaign. Whenever possible, I'll weave your character's history into the adventure through side quests, NPC connections, meaningful choices, and personal moments that help your story grow alongside the main plot. As someone who enjoys building custom content, you can also expect original maps, handouts, artwork, magic items, puzzles, and expanded lore that complement the published adventure without replacing what makes it great. I enjoy taking an excellent Adventure Path and making it feel uniquely ours. Above all, I want my table to be welcoming, collaborative, and respectful. Whether you're a veteran Pathfinder player or joining your first campaign, questions are always welcome. I believe the best campaigns are built on trust between the GM and players, where everyone contributes to creating an unforgettable story together.
Homebrew rules
I use a few quality-of-life house rules: Legolas Ammunition Rule: Normal arrows, bolts, bullets, and other standard ammunition are considered plentiful. You are assumed to recover or replenish enough mundane ammunition that it doesn't need to be tracked. Only special ammunition (cold iron, adamantine, specialty arrows, etc.) must be counted. Additional house rules will be reviewed together during Session 0, ensuring everyone understands how they work before the adventure begins.

How LordTank (Sebastian) creates a safe table
Player comfort and enjoyment are my highest priorities. My goal is to create a welcoming table where everyone feels comfortable contributing to the story, asking questions, and stepping away whenever they need to. Session 0 Before the campaign begins, we'll hold a dedicated Session 0 to ensure everyone is on the same page. During this session, we'll cover: * Character creation and how your backstory fits into the campaign * Party expectations and cooperative play * Table etiquette and communication * Campaign themes, tone, and difficulty * Scheduling and attendance expectations * Player boundaries and content preferences This is also the time for players to ask questions, discuss character connections, and make sure everyone is excited about the adventure we're about to begin. Open Door Policy I maintain an Open Door Policy at every session. If you need to step away for any reason—whether it's to take a break, handle something at home, or simply because you need a moment—you never need to ask permission or explain yourself. Your well-being always comes first. If something at the table makes you uncomfortable, you're welcome to message me privately at any time. We can pause, skip a scene, fade to black, or adjust the content as needed. No one is ever expected to justify their boundaries. safety & Communication I encourage open communication throughout the campaign, not just during Session 0. Players are welcome to contact me between sessions if they have concerns, feedback, or ideas they'd like to discuss privately. I believe the best campaigns are built collaboratively, and I'm always happy to adjust pacing or content to make sure everyone continues to have fun. Respect at the Table This is a cooperative, inclusive game where every player deserves respect. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or intentionally making other players uncomfortable will not be tolerated. We are here to tell an epic story together, and maintaining a positive table environment is everyone's responsibility. At the end of the day, I want every player to leave each session excited for the next one, feeling heard, respected, and eager to continue the adventure.
