About the adventure

A party of weary adventurers emerges from the depths of Beacongrave, having vanquished a lich whose power had already been eroded by the ancient, crumbling tunnels that imprisoned it. Laden with treasure, they set out for home to fence their spoils and lick their wounds, only to be caught in the savage storms ravaging the region of Wytheng. Their one hope of shelter lies in the town of RyuK, where old allies own a vast estate that dominates the countryside. The manor of Darulia and Abron Kistra is a glittering monument to their wealth, and tonight its gates are thrown open for a Masquerade Ball. Soaked, exhausted, and utterly out of place, the party approaches the grounds on foot, seeking shelter from the storm. With every footstep, the howling grows louder, and the storm makes known its reluctance to abate. For this storm is no phenomenon of the natural world. Rain hammers down upon the earth from coal-black clouds, drowning fields and livestock alike, creating a brackish sea that splits the valley; in the distance, lightning spears the forests, leaving scattered patches of terror licking at the land. The dark smoke that hovers over the land, despite the rains, will soon smother the valley. And above Krisra Manor, the clouds spiral and coil into ominous black rings against a starry sky. Too late to turn back. On a night like this, hope is a fragile thing to cling to—and often a foolish refuge. But it is the only effective weapon against the Six Nightmares of the Masquerade Ball.

About me

I’ve been roleplaying for nearly 20 years and DMing for 6+, with 10+ full campaigns brought to completion — including a 5‑year epic. I started in play‑by‑post forums and IRC games, where I fell in love with slow-burn, character-driven storytelling and collaborative worldbuilding. Today, I run focused, story-forward games built around one principle: Your choices matter. My tables are intentionally small (4–6 players) to keep the experience personal, immersive, and reactive. I don’t run chaotic drop-in games — I run campaigns designed to last. 🎲 What You Can Expect Immersive, Reactive Worlds A setting that evolves with your decisions — not a railroad, not a sandbox without direction, but a living story shaped by you. Dynamic NPCs Distinct voices, motivations, and relationships that develop over time. Characters remember you. Professional Infrastructure Roll20 Plus, custom maps, curated NPC tokens, ambient music, and organized campaign materials. Consistent Follow-Through Session summaries included. Optional audio highlights or recordings available. No ghosting. No favoritism. No half-finished arcs. Rule of Cool — Structured Cinematic moments are encouraged — within a framework that keeps the game balanced and meaningful. 💡 Why I DM I’m inspired by fantasy fiction, culture, science, and the way collaborative storytelling brings strangers together. The best campaigns aren’t about perfect mechanics — they’re about the moment when a table goes silent because something real just happened in the story. That’s what I build toward. If you're looking for a reliable, engaging, human DM — someone who treats your time and character investment seriously — I’d love to have you at my table. Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen over Discord and Roll20 after Session 0 so everyone has a chance to talk character concepts and make sure the party will mesh on a base level. Chargen is 4d6v1, and things like level, equipment, and composition of party will be discussed during Session 0.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

All you need is a character concept and the willingness to collaborate creatively! We allow digital or real-life dice rolling, and webcams are not necessary. You will need a working and decent quality microphone, and preferably the ability to use press-to-talk. You will also need Discord.

What Tony brings to the table

Maps, tokens for people who don't have their own made, written handouts for background information as needed, and assistance with character creation.

Safety

How Tony creates a safe table

As I am a storyteller, the rule of cool applies here. If it's cool, cinematic and epic chances are I will allow it. I adhere to the spirit of the law insofar as it keeps the story good - but some rules are meant to be broken. I routinely (in my own play) ignore rules in favor of story and thematic penalties I didn't technically need to take if it makes for more engaging story-writing down the line. Because I want there to be no miscommunication:: * Sexist, racist, or otherwise offensive remarks and opinions being espoused, or offensive behavior towards other players at any point will result in ejection. * Murder hobo'ing, meta-gaming, and being overly vulgar just for the heck of it, are all big no-no's. * More generally, don't be a creep. Act responsibly. I try to keep my games PG-13 adjacent and will consult with the group during Session 0 about veils and lines they might have in terms of content.
