About the adventure

Gehenna was supposed to come. They say signs appeared. That the prophecies were fulfilled. But the end never arrived. Among the Kindred, opinions differ. Some claim Gehenna is still coming. Others believe it has already begun, unfolding through the Beckoning, the Second Inquisition, the collapse of ancient domains, and the slow unraveling of the world that the world vampires once knew. Many have accepted that this is Gehenna. One Elder disagrees. Ancient beyond mortal comprehension and driven by a centuries-long obsession, he has dedicated his unlife to uncovering the truth behind the Final Nights. Convinced that something is missing, he has gathered a coterie of Kindred willing to venture where others will not: into forgotten havens, sealed archives, abandoned domains, and the dangerous spaces between myth and history. Your task is simple: Find the truth. Recover lost records. Hunt down elusive prophets. Investigate impossible rumors. Speak with those who claim to remember events differently. Follow trails that have gone cold for decades, or centuries. The deeper your investigation takes you, the more tangled the mystery becomes. Ancient texts contradict one another. Witnesses tell incompatible stories. Entire chapters of Kindred history seem to have vanished. Every faction has its own explanation for the state of the world, and every answer raises new questions. Was Gehenna delayed? Was it prevented? Is it happening right now? Or has the entire Kindred world misunderstood it from the beginning? As you navigate the politics of the Camarilla, the ambitions of the Anarchs, the secrets of forgotten bloodlines, and the fears of creatures older than nations, you'll uncover mysteries that many would kill to possess... or bury forever. In a world built on secrets, some questions are dangerous to ask. And none are more dangerous than asking how the world was supposed to end.

About me

Wow, what is there to say about me? I am a long time lover and player of Dungeons and Dragons. I started out in 3.5 and quickly moved to 5e where I picked up DMing for my small group of friends. It has been one of my biggest passions and greatest joys being able to make an amazing story with those sitting across the table or, in more recent times, screen.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will be collaborative and story-focused. Before play begins, I’ll meet with each player one-on-one to build a Kindred who fits both the character you want to play and the chronicle’s central mystery. We’ll talk through your clan, sire, mortal life, ambitions, fears, convictions, touchstones, and what drew your character into the search for the truth behind Gehenna. You do not need to arrive with a finished character. A concept, vibe, image, or dramatic problem is enough. My goal is for every character to feel personally connected to the story, useful within the coterie, and built for the kind of scenes you enjoy most: investigation, politics, horror, moral dilemmas, social tension, or personal drama.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before Session Zero, please make sure you have: A Discord account for voice, announcements, and communication. A Roll20 account for maps, handouts, and gameplay. A Demiplane account for character creation and character sheets. You do not need to arrive with a completed character. Instead, come with a few ideas that excite you. Maybe it's a clan you've always wanted to play, a character archetype, a piece of artwork, a personality, a goal, or even just a vibe. During our character creation process, we'll work together to develop that idea into a fully realized Kindred who fits both the setting and the story. Whether you're imagining a ruthless socialite, a desperate investigator, a rebellious anarch, a repentant monster, or something entirely different, we'll make sure your character has meaningful ties to the chronicle and reasons to care about the mysteries ahead. The more excited you are about your character, the better. We'll handle the mechanics together. Bring the ideas that make you want to tell their story.

What PUN brings to the table

What I Provide A collaborative character creation process, including one-on-one sessions to help build a Kindred that fits both your interests and the chronicle. A mystery-driven chronicle where player choices, relationships, and discoveries shape the direction of the story. A welcoming environment for both new and experienced Vampire: The Masquerade players. Distinct NPCs with their own goals, fears, and ambitions, rather than simple quest-givers or villains. Custom handouts, clues, rumors, and in-world documents to support investigation and immersion. A balance of roleplay, investigation, politics, and horror, with the exact mix influenced by the interests of the coterie. Character-focused storytelling, ensuring every character has opportunities to explore their ambitions, convictions, relationships, and personal struggles. An active Discord server for campaign information, scheduling, questions, lore, and between-session roleplay if desired. Session recaps and campaign organization so players can easily keep track of important events and discoveries. Respect for player comfort and boundaries, with Session Zero discussions and safety tools used throughout the chronicle.

Homebrew rules

This chronicle will primarily use the official Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition rules. I generally prefer to run VTM as a narrative-first game. Rules matter, and I strive to apply them consistently, but when a dramatic, creative, or character-defining moment presents itself, I'm willing to lean into the spirit of the story rather than the strictest possible interpretation of a rule. If a situation arises where the rules are unclear, we'll make a ruling that keeps the game moving and supports the scene. Any major rulings will be discussed openly and applied consistently going forward. My goal is not to "beat" the players with the rules, nor to ignore them entirely. The rules provide the foundation, while the story, characters, and shared experience remain the focus. In short: bring creative ideas. Vampire thrives when characters take risks, make difficult choices, and pursue what matters to them.

Safety

How PUN creates a safe table

Before you start out in a game I send you a link to a google form for lines and veils that is amalgamated anonymously for the group to see its lines. Players are encouraged to stop the session or message the GM if there is something in the game that is problematic. My main goal in these games is to have a fun, safe, and healthy table. During Session Zero, we'll discuss boundaries, expectations, and any topics players would prefer to avoid or keep off-screen. We will establish safety tools and ensure everyone understands how to use them throughout the chronicle. Vampire: The Masquerade is a game of personal horror and may include many different themes. However, player comfort always takes priority over the story. No one should feel pressured to engage with content that makes them uncomfortable. This game is intended to explore dark themes, not to make players feel unsafe. Communication, respect, and consent are expected from everyone at the table. If an issue arises during play, we will address it promptly and respectfully so that everyone can continue enjoying the game. The goal is for players to feel comfortable exploring uncomfortable stories together.
