Tonight is the night, the paintings are Alive! and you, adventurers, are invited to explore one of the Landscapes! Ending with the Simpsons references and talking more serious: Hello there, if you are reading this, you have some interest in one of my One Shot from "Ravenloft: The Horrors Within". From time to time im launching an adventure from this book and sparkling it with my own unique touch. From Barovia to Innsmouth, we are playing Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e (2024) and having a really frightening time. This time I present to you: Siege of Lekar 🏹 Another day on Falkovnia, another day to suffer. But things can be worst, tonight the New Moon will set it's light on this cursed land and the deads will rise again. You are part of the military forces, the Falcon's Talons and you're a Rookie. Because of that you were selected to do the hardest work at New Moon, protect the gate. Protect your friends and family in the name of Vladeska Drakov and you will be remember for the rest of Eternity! Note: You need to know this is a combat focus One-Shot so have that on mind while creating a character!

Creating your character
You can join and bring your own Level 5 character for this One Shot! The number one rule is: Must stick with Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e(2024). You can play with things from the UA (classes, feats, etc). But you can not chose UA instead of Official version, for example: you cannot play with the Artificer from the UA, you have to play an Artificer from "Eberron: Forge of the Artificer". You can make your character on D&D Beyond, Roll20, PDF, anywhere you feel comfy with but you must send the sheet to me before the game so I can upload it to Fantasy Grounds. For Siege of Lekar 🏹: You character is from Falkovnia a land besieged. Empty countryside surrounds ruined or crumbling cities. Only a few desperate pockets of civilization survive, carrying on not out of hope, but out of fear of the land's merciless soldiers. Led by General Vladeska Drakov, Falkovnia's military organizes a desperate and occasionally effective defense against an implacable foe: the ever-growing armies of the dead. I don't have any spell or feat Ban. For your Ability Scores you can do Standart, Roll or Point Buy. You can pick 1 Rare and 2 Uncommon Magic Items.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You need to make an account in Fantasy Grounds and download the Fantasy Grounds VTT. You will need a Discord account and join my server too. Both accounts are free, you don't need to buy any Fantasy Grounds book! Note: If you never played on Fantasy Grounds, don't worry, I will teach you in less than a minute everything you need to know. It's really easy, trust me ^^
What Facundo brings to the table
I try (awful) character voices, sometimes I start repeting but I try my best to give every NPC a good and unique personality! I play some ambience music! I'm trying to implement sounds too. I like a difficult combat with a bit of roleplaying, I'm not tactic and don't put so much attention on covers and stuff like that, but if you do, you will get inspiration! I love to drop lore and put your backstories in play, so try something maybe just one line backstory but with a little bit of flavour. Usually I put a lot of custom lore, so be caution and put attention to NPCs. Love when players try crazy plans or very cool attacks.
Homebrew rules
-Drinking a potion of healing as a bonus action requieres to roll dices normally, but if you use your action to drink it, you can have the maximum healing possible. -Roleplaying is a Bonus Action. Any action/roll related to triying to talk with an enemy, close a door, give an ally a weapon, anything that can give flavour to the encounter is going to be a Bonus Action.

How Facundo creates a safe table
I will send you to complete the Game Expectation Sheet form DMG 2024 to get to know about your triggers, phobias and expectations at the time of playing. Because this is a One-Shot, we are going to take a little bit of time before starting the game to get to know each other and present the characters of every player. At the end of the game I invite you to talk a few minutes about the things you enjoyed and the ones you don't, I'm open to the critics! We're here to play and be happy!
