About the adventure
Some adventurers aren't looking for anything logical, like gold. They won't be tempted by glory, fame, riches, or power. Some adventurers just want to know how the monster tastes. Sound like you? Then, grab your gear and get ready to hunt! You'll learn how to track and locate these monsters, discern their weaknesses, and engage them in battle. Not only that, but you'll learn how to survive in the wilds, craft equipment from the monsters' remains, and even cook empowering meals! Think of it like the most exciting camping trip of your life and you might not break down in tears! Inspired by the Monster Hunter games by Capcom as well as a dash of Dungeon Meshi, Titan Hunter brings PCs through expeditions to far-off lands to find the most unique monsters in the multiverse, hunt them, and collect their parts for eats and equipment! This campaign makes judicious use of Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting.

About me
Hi, I'm Leo! I've been doing games for over thirty years, and was GM for the vast majority of that time on account of there almost never being anyone else willing to run things. Over the decades, I've become accustomed to many different playstyles so I like to think that I'm pretty versatile. The most important thing, though, is that everyone is having fun and I do my best to ensure that the game is enjoyable for all involved. I spend entirely too much time gathering GM resources, so I'm bringing materials to the table like VTT licenses, animated maps, fitting music, and occasionally art if I can find the time to make it. I don't homebrew a lot, myself, but I'll always take requests under consideration. To me, the players are the main characters and I'm always looking for opportunities to help them shine. Nothing in the setting or NPC list should take up more attention as far as I'm concerned. Message me if you're interested in a game!

Creating your character
Character creation will be handled collaboratively and completed in Foundry VTT which will guide you through all the correct options. You will have access to all my resources including materials from Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting, all the fore 5.5e books, Ravenloft: Horrors Within, and more. Alternate option requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We will use Standard Array, Fixed Hit Point Type, and Encumbrance rules.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
First and foremost, you should have a Discord account as we'll be using Discord for all communication in addition to the voice portion of every game session. Second, you'll need a computer with access to a decent broadband Internet connection. It is not recommended to attempt playing on a smartphone or tablet. A decent microphone or headset is also highly appreciated, but not necessarily required.
What Leo brings to the table
I will provide all the Foundry VTT assets and resources used for both character creation and play, audio, ready-to-use token and character art, Discord server, and the self-hosted VTT server.
Homebrew rules
Inspiration at the top of every hour. Variant systems for hunting, gathering, cooking, brewing, and investigating based mostly on Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting.

Safety
How Leo creates a safe table
We will begin with a Session 0 so that we can have introductions, go over our expectations, devise our list of Lines & Veils, build characters if necessary, and hopefully kick-start the role-playing so that things can roll into RP over the Discord server. A link to the RPG Consent Checklist for this game group will be sent out prior to Session 0 so that we can have those taken under consideration. During live play sessions, there will be at least one break around the middle of the session for at least 10 minutes. And at all times, I keep an Open Door policy and I will have private channels for each individual player where they can communicate with me.
