About the adventure
The world is dying. The age of the Seven Prophecies has come. When the seventh prophecy is done, darkness, rot, and fire shall consume all that remains. Tveland lies in a state of shadow, choked by the thick forests of Sarkash, and Galgenbeck stands as the last true pocket of civilization. The Arch-Priestess Josilfa Migol calls for walkers and dark heroes for a final task aimed at the grim hope of saving the dying realm. Verhu has predicted the inexorable annihilation of Tveland. But with this doom comes another vision, a counterbalance: a prophecy of seven magic relics from a past world, forged in secret away from the peering, all-seeing eyes of the four basilisk heads. Hope. A grim, unlikely hope, but still hope. As a walker, you will be tasked with deciphering, decoding, and following a cryptic map and instructions that will lead you on a quest to collect seven sacred relics. There is a slim chance that these ancient treasures will save the world. This mission will probably end in gruesome death for all those who participate, but if the destruction of everything is already guaranteed, what have you to lose? This quest will doubtlessly lead to pain, suffering, agony, and most likely a brutal end. This land is cruel, merciless, and unforgiving. It is highly likely that this story will become a meat grinder. Not only must you beat the Seven Prophecies to the seven holy relics before the final doom comes to pass, the seventh of which will destroy the world, but you must also find a way to stay alive long enough to deploy the relics in a probably vain and futile attempt to end the great annihilation of Tveland. There is magic in the world, but it is extremely rare. Every time you have a character die, you’ll need to create a new one from scratch, with access only to the tools and treasure that could be scavenged from your previous character’s dead body. Food will be scarce. Water will be even rarer. Enemies, monsters, and ruin will lurk around every corner. There is a high likelihood that this campaign will require you all to create several characters as you march your walkers into the meat grinder of this desolate wasteland. And even if you manage to succeed, which is definitely unlikely, there is a very good chance that the quest will fail, and you will witness the end of the world anyway. But in the midst of this bleak reality, there is the possibility for heroes to be born, tales to be forged, and battles to be won. And maybe, in the slimmest chance possible, there is the possibility for victory. Will you take up your sword, don your blackened armor, and march into the wasteland as a walker for the Dark Priestess, the dying world’s final desperate chance? This is going to be a rules light, deadly combat, survival meatgrinder. It doesn't matter if you've never played Mork Borg before, the rules are incredibly simple.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Greetings! I'm a seasoned D&D gamemaster with over 20 years of experience running games. I started in my teenage years running Classic Marvel. Then I ran homebrew Star Wars... then transitioned to homebrew Fantasy, and eventually was gifted Dungeons and Dragons 3e in my early 20s, and I've never looked back! I've run dozens of games over the years, several of them lasting for more than 2 years and running all the way to epic levels. One game saga in particular spanned a decade and was made up of 3 epic level interlocking campaigns. Today, I run D&D 5e/2024 almost exclusively, and I love it. My style is very roleplay heavy. I like to let the player characters push the spotlight and create the story. I believe that my job, as the gamemaster, is to help them tell the epic stories of their characters by filling in the 'pixels of the world' around them. I never approach any story, session, or adventure with a predetermined outcome in my mind, and I believe that this encourages creativity and increases the 'magic' of TTRPGs. I love exploring dark, gritty, and existential themes in my games. I love exploring complex moral and ethical choices, and giving player characters the opportunity to run complex moral characters in a very 'grey' and oftentimes 'terrible' world. I also believe this empowers players to 'shine' brighter as heroes. I'm also a D&D YouTuber. My channel name is 'GM Philosophy,' and the mission of my channel is to empower gamemasters to run better games.

Creating your character
We will create characters at session zero. Character creation is VERY simple in this game. You can create a character concept and story (if you own a Mork Borg book, we are literally using that for story... everything I'm doing in this game will be cannon with Tveland from the book). But owning a book, even, is not needed. Don't worry about creating stats before session zero. We will do it and it'll be super easy.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Once you sign up, you should join my discord: Join the GM Philosophy Discord: https://discord.gg/ZfYacEGs9z There are like 700 people on my discord, so you'll want to message me directly (The GM Philosopher). Or you can send me your discord handle here, and I'll private message you :) I manage all my games on Discord, so once we get in contact you'll receive further instructions.
What The GM Philosopher brings to the table
I use Discord chat for voice and Owlbear Rodeo for the VTT. I play mood-setting music in Discord. I record all sessions so that we can have very detailed notes at the end of every session. The rules for this game are very light. I usually try to observe the rule of cool. Player agency is very important to me. I will provide you with the utmost of professionalism and respect, and very straightforward communication... and I always expect the same from my players.
