About the adventure

In decades past, the vampire Gunthar the Gluttonous terrorized the people of Goldenwheat. Gunthar and his three faithful hounds threatened to drink the farmers and their livestock dry. When all hope seemed lost, a group of brave heroes slew Gunthar in his crypt and plunged a stake into his heart. They left the crypt victorious, sealing the crypt behind them and leaving a stake buried in the vampire’s corpse. Over time, the blood-soaked stake warped and sprouted a Gulthias tree, a plant infused with evil essence. Malignance spreads from this tree, destroying crops, corrupting soil, and spawning awakened plants with a taste for blood. The tree’s evil was contained for a time within Gunthar’s crypt, and farms flourished in a land the vampire had filled with despair—until now. An ankheg hungry for local livestock recently tunneled into Gunthar’s crypt. The Gulthias tree’s roots reached into the ankheg’s tunnels, infecting them with blights and fungi and spoiling the crops above. The tree’s vile tendrils even worked their way into the corpses of Gunthar’s hounds. Returned to life and mutated by the tree, these bloodthirsty dogs loyally guard their master’s resting place and destroy any who threaten the Gulthias tree. A local farmer has reached out to the characters, hoping they can put an end to the blight affecting his crops and those of other nearby farms. If the disease continues to spread, the ensuing food shortage could prove disastrous. 🔴 MY STYLE 🔴 ➡️ Immersive storytelling with vivid descriptions, dynamic NPCs, and a strong sense of place. ➡️ Player agency, ensuring your choices have a meaningful impact on the world ➡️ Collaborative storytelling - You forge your own path in this adventure ➡️ Clear, supportive guidance for players of all experience levels, whether this is your first campaign or your fiftieth.

About me

Greetings, traveller! Thanks for stopping by my humble corner of the realm — if you’ve made it this far, I’d be honoured to guide you on your next great adventure. I’m a seasoned UK-based Game Master with several years of experience weaving tales both in-person and across the digital planes. From the classic tales of Dungeons & Dragons, to the mysterious worlds of Broken Compass and Candela Obscura, I’ve led brave souls through countless quests, conspiracies, and character-driven sagas. Like many adventurers, my journey began with D&D, sparked by the storytelling magic of Critical Role. But the road into the hobby wasn’t easy — finding a party, a mentor, or even a place to begin felt like a quest in itself. That’s why I now strive to be the guide I once needed: someone who welcomes newcomers with open arms, and helps them discover the magic of tabletop roleplaying in a safe, inclusive space. My GM style is roleplay-forward, with a strong focus on character development, emotional storytelling, and collaborative worldbuilding. Whether you're a first-time player or a veteran of many campaigns, I’ll work with you to craft a tale that’s rich, immersive, and uniquely yours. So, if you're ready to forge your legend, gather your dice and join me at the table — adventure awaits! ----------- NOTE: I am UK-based, and as such run games inline with GMT time zones. Running early or all-day sessions in American time-zones is possible, dependant on which side of America, and how much notice is provided.

Safety

How Aaron H creates a safe table

There are a couple of safety features in place to ensure everyone has a good time and feels safe while playing. These are as follows: - Open Door: If at any time the game or the scene becomes a bit much, or you just need a quick drink / break, you do not need to let anyone know. Just feel free to step away and come back in a few minutes. - X, N, O Cards - Everyones experiences are different, and what seems mild or tame for some playesr may be horrific to others. X Cards allow you to pass on the scene and the narrative moves forward, paraphrasing what has happened. N Cards warn the DM and players that the topics are approaching a boundary, and may lead to an X card if things continue as they are. This acts as a way of signaling discomfort without interrupting. O Cards are "ok to continue"
