About the adventure
Welcome to Carnival and the growing settlement of Troupe’s End—a fragile haven hidden among the shifting Mists of Ravenloft. Founded by performers, wanderers, and survivors who escaped the cruel freakshows of L’Morai, Troupe’s End is led by the mysterious Isolde and her traveling Carnival. It is a place for strange souls seeking shelter, belonging, and a second chance beneath lantern light and painted tents. But safety is never permanent in the Domains of Dread. Beyond the town’s wagons and wooden walls lie cursed forests, haunted villages, broken kingdoms, and ever-changing roads swallowed by the Mists. Every expedition may uncover lost allies, dangerous relics, new territory, or a Darklord’s attention. This is a West Marches sandbox roleplaying campaign where players shape the future of Troupe’s End through exploration, recruitment, survival, and adventure. 🎠Custom Carnival & Town Development: Build shops, homes, defenses, attractions, guild halls, and strange new carnival acts. 🚩Recruit New Members: Rescue survivors, recruit performers, welcome unusual creatures, and grow Troupe’s End into a true community. 🦇Explore the Domains of Dread: Travel through cursed lands, investigate mysterious ruins, and chart dangerous paths through the Mists. 📍Player-Driven Adventures: Choose which rumors to pursue, which threats to confront, and which places deserve saving. 🧛A Chance to Fight Strahd: Gather courage, allies, and knowledge for an eventual journey into Barovia—and perhaps a confrontation with Strahd von Zarovich himself. Spooky Sandbox Play: Encounter eerie mysteries, gothic monsters, cursed carnivals, haunted towns, and unsettling bargains. 🎃The Dreadmarches: Leave the safety of Troupe’s End behind and venture into unexplored territory where every road may lead somewhere worse. In the Dreadmarch Frontier, the Mists may take everything from you—unless you build something worth protecting.
