About the adventure
Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage is a massive 23-level D&D mega-dungeon located beneath Mount Waterdeep. Accessible through a gapingwell in the city's famous Yawning Portal tavern, it serves as the ultimate high-stakes dungeon crawl, designed to challenge adventurers from levels 5 through 20.The labyrinth is the personal domain of the insane, immortal wizard Halaster Blackcloak. As players delve deeper into the earth, they navigate increasingly bizarre, multiversal environments—ranging from corrupted magical forests to subterranean oceans and ruined fortresses. Each floor features unique factions, traps, and secrets, offering a blend of intense combat, exploration, and political maneuvering as players strive to survive the Mad Mage's ever-changing gauntlet.

Hello, my name is Max! I've been a mostly DnD player for five years, GM for one year. I live in New England and am an engineer by trade. I became a fan of fantasy when I picked up a copy of Oblivion in the early 00's. I got into DnD during the pandemic and fell in love with the hobby. I will provide an immersive audio and visual experience through FoundryVTT utilizing interactive maps, dynamic lighting and ambient music. I will also attempt to do voices.
