About the adventure

It seems to be a simple enough errand. A merchant delivering a strange statue to a mist-shrouded seaside village pays good gold for a group of adventurers to see them safely to their destination. That no one seems to know much about the isolated little community is not something to worry about. But upon arrival, events take a turn for the strange. A murder triggers a series of events which lead to secret cults, bizarre transformations, ruined temples and whispers of "Old Ones" awakened. And when the mists that cloak this remote village close in, seeming to bar anyone from leaving, caution turns to desperation turns to fear and horror in the village of Innsmouth. This game will utilize the 2024 core rulebooks and the companion guide Ravenloft: The Horror Within

About me

I found my first Players Handbook under the Xmas tree long before they started numbering the various editions of any of these games, and have been playing ever since. I started DMing regularly for family and friends ten years ago, and soon branched out to offering games online, first as a side hustle and then as a full-time occupation. I like to explore every pillar of game play and have a particular liking for mysteries and puzzles, but I certainly know when it's time to roll dice and crunch monsters as well.

Homebrew rules

Narrative sense sometimes overrides RAW; e.g., taking a potion bottle out of your pack, uncorking it, and guzzling it down in the middle of a battle is not a bonus action.
