About the adventure
The Byzantine renaissance of mid-1300s is in full swing, fuelled by recent breakthroughs in Alchemy and Clockwork. Constantinople, now dubbed the City of Perilous Progress, stands at the precipice between the known world and the realms beyond. Many threats loom over the city, not just the various empires surrounding it, but also... the others from beyond who aren't happy at the direction this alternate history has taken. With unnatural shadows waving from the alleyways, haunting music coming from under the waters of the Bosphorus strait, and strange swarms of rats with glowing red eyes spreading a disease that defies logic, will you become the saviours the city needs? Hi there, I'm Ani a.k.a. Anistuffs. I'm running a Monster of the Week campaign set in an alternate Medieval Eastern Europe. This campaign is heavily inspired by The Plague Tale videogame series. The players will face a variety of paranormal threats in long-spanning story arcs filled with action, adventure, horror, tragedy, emotional drama, and moments of comedic relief.

About me
Hello and welcome. I'm Ani, a let's player, livestreamer, and TTRPG enthusiast from India. I found out about TTRPGs being a thing in my early twenties, and got into the hobby soon after. I've since played many games across many systems. I started GMing in 2017 and I've since run many oneshots and campaigns (my longest being a Monster of the Week campaign set in Ancient Egypt that lasted over 2 years). My preferred type of games are campaigns, as I really enjoy seeing character development of the PCs over multiple sessions. Narrative-focused collaborative storytelling is the greatest appeal of TTRPGs for me. Here's my Youtube channel where I mostly stream videogames, but there’s also a few Actual Plays of some of the TTRPGs I’ve ran: https://www.youtube.com/Anistuffs

Creating your character
As this is a new campaign, we will create characters together with the other players during Session 1 and establish inter-character relationships and connections with the campaign setting.
No previous knowledge or experience is required. The campaign will begin once we reach 4 minimum players. We will create characters and the team concept together on the first session before diving in the first mystery.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
This is a roleplaying game focused on collaborative storytelling, played using Discord for voice (and optional video) and Roll20 for rolls. So you will need: 💻 A computer capable of running web-based programs 🌐 Decent internet access, ideally using common browsers (Firefox/Chrome/Edge) 🎤 Decent microphone. Webcams are encouraged but optional. 🎧 Discord account (free) 🎲 Roll20 account (free) 🤩 Enthusiasm for the game. 🤝 Friendliness, open mind, creative imagination, open communication, consideration for the other group members. ⏰ Punctuality about attending the sessions. 👍 Reliability to inform in case of delay/absence. 📝A way to take notes (if required).
What Anistuffs brings to the table
▶ A friendly gaming environment ▶ A Discord server ▶ A Roll20 game ▶ Monster of the Week resources, as required The campaign will be Theatre of the Mind assisted by reference images to set the scene and vibes. My goal is to provide a living, dynamic, and consistent world/setting that both responds to the Player Characters' actions and also continues existing without their interaction.

How Anistuffs creates a safe table
After you sign up, I will reach out to you in Discord to have a one on one onboarding voice call and go over the game expectations, safety tools used, content warnings, rules and mechanics for the game system, and anything else required. I regularly check in with players to ensure everyone is comfortable with and enjoying the game. To clarify the real world religion content warning: as the campaign takes place in an alternate mid-1300s medieval era, there will be minor plot points regarding various sects of Christianity, Islam and other local religions. They will not be a large factor in the story as the main focus will be the paranormal mysteries, but they will affect how characters in the story react to the supernatural.
