About the adventure

Join this homebrew campaign set in a sandbox world crafted for you to either boss rush monsters and hunt for valuable treasures or follow the secrets and conspiracies that revolve around The Avian Triumvirate. In a world shrouded in mist where the most dangerous beasts and monsters reside, the only safety is on the Aerohavens ruled by the birdlike races of The Avian Triumvirate. Other races are only permitted to reside on these havens if they prove their value through hunting exotic game and riches in the mists below. Join The Order of the Crow, a guild within the Kenku district that specializes in "retrieval" from the surface, and make a name for yourself. Work your way up the ranks and earn your spot on the haven. With the loss of a noble in the Crows Nest a recent shift in balance has caused a rise in crime and revolutionary uprisings. What is the truth behind the Triumvirate? The monsters within the mists? The Aerohavens? Do you seek the truth or will you spend your days hunting monsters and valuables on the surface for riches and glory? About me

I have been playing Dungeons and Dragons for about a decade or more, I started as a player and eventually became a Dungeon Master. I played a homebrewed campaign that lasted about 4 years with close friends where I played as a Druid of the Moon that was inflicted with Lycanthropy. Unfortunately our DM was unable to finish the campaign and after about a year of one-shot games I finally made the jump to run my own campaign with a close group of 4 friends. My campaign was a mix of homebrew and wizards of the coast content and lasted about 3-4 years until the party finally completed their task, saving the multiverse from collapsing into itself and ending all life. After about a 6 moth hiatus my players were itching to start playing again and we also were introducing a brand new player to Dungeons and Dragons, I didn't want to write a brand new campaign so it was only intended to be a world in which the players could accept bounties and quests, hunt large "monster hunter" style monsters and dungeon crawl. I underestimated how detail oriented and lore driven my players were. Their backstories were so well written and so rich and involved with the world I created for them, that I could not help but feel inspired to write the campaign around them and give them an amazing story, and here we are about 2-3 years into the campaign and still going strong. At first I envied not being able to be a player, but I truly enjoy being a forever DM.

Preparing for the session

There will be a discord server in which we can all join to chat and keep notes and information. Roll 20 will be used as the main game table and DnD Beyond is also a welcome tool during campaign however not required.

What Evan brings to the table

I take pride in doing voices for the NPCs you will encounter along your journey. As an artist I will often Draw some of the fun interactions the party goes through. I have fun Homebrew rules that I have found add an extra layer of enjoyment and tactical gameplay. I try to have a fine balance between Rules as Written and Rules of Cool. I always reward well thought out Role Play interactions.

How Evan creates a safe table

During session zero players will discuss Lines and Veils where I will create a document covering what will be accepted and not accepted in game. This Document will be available for review at any point and can be revised accordingly if need be. I enjoy having a debriefing after every session where players can discuss what happened during gameplay, we can all decompress and unpack any traumatic moments within the game players are also welcome to share Stars and Wishes during this time.
