About the adventure

*This "City of Mist" homebrew is intended for adults (18+) due to the maturity required to play, handlings complicated decisions, possible controversial topics, "morally nuanced scenarios" where character lethality is on the table. Moments of romance are not to be confused with outright graphic sexual content which the table will not participate in.* -This setting is right for you if you enjoy Modern Fantasy Settings, Crime Thrillers, Cosmic Horror, Supernatural Mystery and Dark Urban Fantasy. -Adult themes are often referenced, and sometimes the central theme of discussion and development as I intend for there to be "bleed" between player characters and the players themselves. -I am a "yes and" type of MC (Master of Ceremonies), I am always on the side of telling a cohesives story as a team. I want you to succeed even though we may address darker topics. -My goal is to leave players with an experience they cannot get elsewhere with custom newspaper articles, custom handmade musical queues, soundtrack, and a personalized musical character theme. I will be using maps and content I've purchased as I am not a map maker. -We will be using Discord as our primary method of communication and I am still deciding on which platform to use (Roll20 vs. others).

About me

Passionate Creative Dreamer who loves to collectively tell amazing stories. I am a music composer, game designer with a knack for tech. I live with a mental disability (schizoaffective bipolar type 2) and am open about the struggles I've faced. I like to draw from real life experiences I've had and others have had to create a deeply immersive world for players to explore and become deeply connected with. My goal is to generally side with the players while providing a fair challenge to overcome. I like to have detailed plans about individual player backstories and make them relevant to in session play. If you have questions, please ask. I love talking about game design, fantastical worlds, music and art.

Character creation

Creating your character

*You are required to own a copy (PDF or Physical Copy) of the Core Rulebook.* Bring your creative ideas to the table, we will co-create your character from the ground up including all details that will be used in later adventures and referenced by the MC for deeply personalized experience. The price of upcomming adventures is $30 USD per session and $20 USD for a character creation session.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Player Requirements: -You are required to own a copy (PDF or Physical Copy) of the Core Rulebook. -You must bring a positive outlook to the hobby, this is an opportunity for you to test the waters. -There is no tolerance for direct player to player malice or poor treatment of the MC at any point. Use common sense, I will kindly warn you if anything becomes a problem.

What Nox Harmonia brings to the table

What I will Provide: -I have custom sheets for building detailed characters and we will work through it together to make your character feel like they're part of the world. -I have a detailed custom fleshed out document of the city and locations I will share and we will use during all adventures run in my version of the game and setting. -I have a series of Homebrew Rules I will give to you and we will go over these rules together.

Homebrew rules

The Intention: -To give you a complete character to actively participate in upcomming 3-4 session super adventures/mini campaign. -Think of this like a mid-long term investment of time, energy, and money to tell and awesome story that you'll be reminiscing about for ages and may deeply affect you as I am an experienced MC who has run several 7+ year long campaigns in multiple systems. -I will answer all questions relating to the system, the game, the setting/world and include you in what I hope to be some of the best sessions of TTRPGs I've ever run.

Safety

How Nox Harmonia creates a safe table

There is an aspect of personal responsibility in communicating topics that are heavy in nature. I am not responsible for your reaction to the content of the game, however if things truly delve into deeply unsettling territory then you must communicate that to the MC immediately. That being said, you have been warned that adventures WILL deal with adult topics and content within reason. There will not be assaults of a sexual nature on your character unless you feel it is an appropriate part of your character concept. As a player, know what you're getting into. Communication is key. I often have detailed sheets for players to fill out after sessions to help guide my style of MC'ing.
