About the adventure
Seeking wealth, glory, and challenges? The borderlands await those brave enough to help explore and help tame the wilderness beyond the keep. Only those who are brave and possess exceptional skills are sought to apply. In this adventure, you will: 🧭 Explore the wilds to seek out threats to settlers, merchants, and travelers. 🗣️ Interact with the agents and castellan of the keep to learn of missions which lead to monetary and other rewards. 🔦 Discover people living beyond the keep and determine their goals towards the residents and settlers seeking to tame the wilderness. 🔎 Learn of plots and dangers both within and outside the fortified walls of the keep. ⚔️ Battle the hazards of the wilderness and those who seek to overthrow the castellan. 💰 Gain the attention of the castellan and be rewarded for your deeds and actions. This is an introductory adventure into the world of Dungeons and Dragons aimed at beginning players. Pre-made characters provide for quick and easy immersion into learning to play this fantasy role playing game. Emphasis is on having fun and helping to craft a story where your actions influence the world around your character. I will help open the doorway into this world of fantasy role playing. Complete with resources and materials which will assist your first steps into the game, you will be carefully guided on the elements of the character sheet, how to use a digital table top, and the basics of playing cooperative games.

About me
Hi! My name is Cliff, but I usually go by OG or Oginme when online. I have been playing D&D since 1978 and ran my first home brewed adventures two years later when in college. Like many, I put the game aside for a few years while raising three wonderful children and focusing on a career. Then, my son asked for a 5e set for his birthday and wanted me to DM for a group of friends. The enjoyment and creativity came rushing back and I soon had two more home brewed campaigns going, all of which lasted for several years. In 2023, I left a highly demand/low reward job and started my journey as a professional Game Master. Over the years, I have worked in and with many industries, traveled the world doing product development, giving technical talks, and absorbed information in a variety of fields. These life experiences help to fuel my creativity and drive for self-improvement of my latest career choice. An avid reader throughout the years, I have studied many subjects and bring a well-rounded approach to my campaigns. In addition to running games, I raise LaMancha dairy goats, plant an ever-expanding garden, play guitar, cook, and continue to study and learn a variety of subjects.

Creating your character
Pre-generated characters will be used to get you into learning the game quickly. There are four classes to choose from: Cleric, Fighter, Rogue, and Wizard. For each of the classes, you will have a choice of the classic species: Dwarf, Elf, Halfling, or Human. The goal is to familiarize you with the virtual table top and the character sheets and then get right into playing. At the end of the campaign, I can assist in helping you create your own character to bring into other campaigns.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To participate in this campaign, you will need the following: An account on Discord (free) An account on Roll20 (free) A computer (laptop or desktop recommended) A stable Internet connection I highly recommend a good set of headphones and dedicated microphone to eliminate background noise and feedback from your speakers.
What Oginme brings to the table
I bring an open, immersive environment where the focus is on having fun. An emphasis on allowing the players to contribute to the mutual building of a story, creates an environment where you can allow your imagination to take root and grow. As your characters make decisions, the world reacts around them, altering events and creating a unique story. Rules form the basis of our interactions and allow for fairness at the table, while not being limits to your creative use of your abilities and equipment. Our games will be accompanied by an immersive music/ambient soundtrack. Vibrant maps are used which will allow you to utilize the terrain, improve immersion, and visualize interactions. I create memorable NPCs for you to interact with, each with their own goals and ambitions. There will be a private Discord server set up for this game which will allow you to converse freely with the other players and discuss the sessions or events

How Oginme creates a safe table
We will start the campaign with Session 0 to discuss lines, veils, and prohibited behavior. During that session, we will cover table etiquette and my table rules. Additionally, there will be a deck of cards on the VTT with X, N, and O cards which allow you to stop or slow down the action so that we may work through any issues which arrises during the game play. These are anonymous. There are also means by which you can message me privately in-game and on the discord server if there is some issue which we need to discuss and address. Following the sessions, I will remain on the discord server to discuss the session and talk about which sections you enjoyed or disliked.
