About the adventure
You are hired by your old friend Gundren Rockseeker to aid him in a great archaeological discovery, rediscovering the lost mines of phandelver, home to the "Forge of Spells", an ancient dwarven creation capable of increasing ones magical power thousand-fold. Your first stop is the mining town of Phandalin, where you discover that not all is well in the region, the disappearance of the local constable has allowed a group of despicable ruffians, "The Redbrands", to move in and harass the townsfolk. For those looking for a simple, beginner-friendly game to learn Pathfinder 2e, this might be for you. Players of all levels of knowledge are welcome. LGBTQ+ inclusive.

About me
My name is Marcos André, I am a veteran Game Master from Brazil with over six years of experience. Though I am most experienced with Dungeons and Dragons 5e, I have been prioritizing simpler systems like DnD B/X (and its retro clone Old-School Essentials). When it comes to running my games, I always start with a session 0 to establish what is to be expected from my players and the campaign. My games have the unfortunate tendency to derail almost immediately, almost always due to the dice deciding what would be funnier to no fault of the players.

Creating your character
Characters will be created during Session 0, using the Pathbuilder tool before I transfer them to Fantasy Grounds VTT, but any restrictions, limitations and other changes regarding character creation will be explained in full during session 0. Simpler character backstories are preferred. The only requirement regarding character backstories is that your character already has a decent friendship with Gundren, as he specifically requested your help in his archaeological exploration.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account to join the game server, along with a decent microphone. Although text is an acceptable option if required, voice will still be prioritized. The VTT that will be used is Fantasy Grounds, which does require both players and GM to have it installed, it can be downloaded for free on the official website or Steam, and supports all major operating systems.
What Marcos André brings to the table
I will do my best to provide a fun experience to the players, with player made decisions being prioritized, be aware that the consequences of said decisions will carry equal weight. I usually go for a more Rule of Cool kind of game, but will default to the rules as written when in doubt regarding a given situation. The system books required will be provided.
