Try to live when you can't die, a diffrent zombie apocalypse
At first, it looked like some kind of zombie apocalypse, but reality is far more disturbing. Sick, like you, can not die, just mutate more and more.

About the adventure
Hearing that you fell to the ereshkigal contagion too, felt like a lid closing down over a coffin. It was still when no one fully understood how hard dying was for anyone suffering from it. The worst cases quickly started to make it look like a zombie apocalypse, and then it got stranger. Wounds and stress only making the sick change into something less human, always coming back, reformed. But with time, people can get used to nearly anything. Some structures were still functioning, you were isolated, with others in a field clinic. There were attempts to find a treatment, a cure, anwsers at the least. World was ending so slowly that eventually even some routine crept in. A bit of a community formed. Then the military backed out of town, leaving you to fend for yourself. This campaign presents a diffrent angle on zombie apocalypse survival. As no one can die you will build relations with others around, knowing that at least some will become monsters you will have to try and exist next to. And instead of risk of passing character will gain new characteristics, likely becomeing stronger every time, but also closer to being uncontrollable.

About me
My own Platinum Rule for RPGs is simple offer and assume respect, as well as good will. We all want to experience something breaking out of the mundane, at least for a bit. Entertain and be entertained by weaving a story together, play the game together. My main enjoyment comes from others being engrossed in the session, or at least having fun with it. Allowing myself a little honesty, RPGs are a huge part of my life, took me from being an extremely shy kid to someone who can easily give lectures to a full auditorium. As silly, as that sounds, feeling like I truly pilot spaceships, confront gods, stalk dark alleys of great cities, protect the multiverse from villainy, and more throughout my life. I want more people to enjoy this hobby, so I never took money for running games before, sometimes putting more time and effort into them than normal work. But as life goes on, duties grow and times get harder. I want to see if maybe I can integrate my adult life and passion better. Sneak a bit more of the hobby into the day. Creating your character
Will go over it on session 0, but in general it is a very simple process. Requiering only to have a concept for the character and narrowing down key traits.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A willing spirit and an open mind should suffice, but it would be nice to have some initial ideas for your Survivor. Session 0 will be free.
What Driden brings to the table
This kind of game runs on "heart", so the key to it is the small things. Community of NPCs that players can build some genuine relationships with, for better, or worse. Making the world feel lived in. Ensuring that careful decision making matters. Building an atmosphere of dread. Dynamism of action when the inevitable happens. So not a single thing, but a meld of many, coming from nearly 30 years of experience in running all kinds of games. Also I especially expanded the system and will be adding more in how sickness develops in every player.
Homebrew rules
Game is a hack for Freeform Universal expanding the rules for the characters and sickness they suffer from, but still keeping to the core of the mechanic.

How Driden creates a safe table
World is bleak and dangerous, but you have the community. That's the approach in and out of game. Group against the world, where it is understood and asumed that players have to support each other, while engaging in harsh and brutal reality. So looking for mature players excited for this kind of play.
