About the adventure
Stregonia is a cursed land. The people have grown humorless and callous over the last few centuries since they earned their freedom from an undying tyrant whose swan song was to drag the capitol city into the darklands below; and mist of pure poison has drifted out of the crater left behind ever since. This putrid haze corrupts all that it touches and in the centuries since the mutations have plagued the people of Stregonia incessantly. The bravest of these people dedicate their lives to hunting the creatures of the night for coin, glory, or perhaps out of a sense of duty. The most capable of these brave souls earn their place in the Slayers Stronghold; a guild of professional monster Hunters who work together and use centuries of expertise together to turn the tides back on the abominations. This game is a gothic horror monster hunting setting where the PCs will begin by arriving at "the proving" which is a recruiting event for the Slayers Stronghold. Consider what made your characters want to join and the interactions they may have had with monsters already. The stronghold has fallen on hard times as they're spread thinner and thinner while the numbers of monsters seems to grow ever more. During session 0 we'll flesh out how in depth we want to do the aspects of daggerheart that can get crunchier like combat. I'm going to run it theatre of the mind but if people want more loose combat maps for visualization I will do it. Extra’s on Pricing and pacing of sessions: Session 0 is $5 and the first actual session with me is $10 so I give people two chances for a discounted price to make sure they’ll enjoy my game. If after you’ve played a session with me you leave me a positive review your next full price session will be $10! I intend to run as close to the 4 hour mark as possible(if the group can go to the end we will!)with maybe a small break in the middle to touch base and use the bathroom.

About me
Howdy ya’ll! I’m Peter and I got my start playing tabletops with DnD 3.5e at a friends birthday party when I was 13 and I’ve been hooked ever since. From there I started playing years of pathfinder 1e with my online gaming friends and transitioned into dming because I loved the storytelling opportunities. Tabletop roleplaying games have always been about community, fun, and expression for me so I do my best to cultivate it in any play space. I believe the most important and fun aspects of tabletop roleplaying come out in the collaboration of everyone involved to advance the story; and this can only happen when everyone feels safe, respected, and like they are an equal part of the story. My whole philosophy as a GM is centered around keeping the story collaborative and fun for everyone involved. Creating investment with my players is key: This always starts with a session 0 where we get everyone on the same page for expectations. Players who join campaigns later will at the least get a quick one on one session 0 to prep. As for details about myself I am a non-straight neurodivergent man doing my best to turn my biggest hobby and passion into a job so I can share the things I love about it with others. When I’m not furthering that goal I am devouring my favorite media which includes everything horror and fantasy on my couch with a lap full of my elderly kitties and my partner by my side.

We'll be doing theatre of the mind in discord. Have an account and character concept ready.
What Pert brings to the table
Daggerheart being a highly narrative and roleplay centric game I will do my best to "yes and" my players and build onto their moments to heighten the vibes, fun, and overall energy of the party. I will use my 15 years of gming knowledge and wacky personality to keep the sessions moving, fun, and energized by bringing NPCs and the world to life.

How Pert creates a safe table
Daggerheart being a fairly open game that relies more on roleplaying and is character driven means that I try to make sure we're all on the same page in session 0 and be aware of how everyone is feeling as the game progresses. Our use of X, N, and O cards as well as Lines and Veils is critical to make sure everyone is comfortable and having fun together.
