About the adventure

Introduction to pathfinder 2e game. Focusing on roleplay, combat and exploration. The Court on High rules from the first district, with decrees and administration flowing down from their court across the other districts. Infighting among the three ruling families has been low for a few decades now, having reached a peak during the last great voyage, when one of the families dragged another down and took their place. First among the many oddities of the world is the substance mageite. Discovered 500 years ago beneath the Court on high, mageite is used as an energy source, powering most of the infrastructure in the districts. Its use and composition is a tightly held secret by the mageite guild, only allowing their members to handle it due to its incredible volatile nature. Our story begins far away to the north, in the third district. The party, members of The Shipping Company tm, are getting ready for their first contract together. A small series of deliveries up the western river fork. What could possibly go wrong?

About me

I have been playing tabletop RPG's for over twenty years now. I got my start with D&D 3.5, moved from that to 5e, and then most recently to Pathfinder 2e as my system of choice. I started at a summer camp, when I was 12 and never looked back. I quickly picked up being the GM as no one at the time wanted to, and did that on and off for small groups of friends during middle and high school. During college and past it I ran two groups of six players each, that met weekly for several years. I have run groups with as few as two players and as many as seven, and understand how to adapt my games to the size of the party. I am proficient in teaching the game rules to new players, I have done quite a bit of it so far, and hope to continue to bring new people into the hobby. I am very passionate about collaborative story telling, and I love being able to fit my players backstories and characters into the world I have created for them. Nothing bring me more joy than receiving a 10 page backstory from a player, and figuring out which of the NPCs they have created can replace the ones I was planning to have the party meet. I love playing these games, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to meet new players, and expand my game mastering abilities.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen during session zero. We will start at level 1. Any officially published pathfinder 2e material is allowed. We will make our characters in Pathbuilder, and then import them into foundry.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have accounts on discord, and pathbuilder I will send out links to join my server, and a link to my foundry game.

What Michael brings to the table

I will provide as fleshed out a world as I can. I try to give all characters their own voice, and opportunities to just sit and chat with them for world building purposes. I try to match music to all of my scenes, and have a soundboard of effects ready to go for most situations. For the most part I follow the rules as intended, but if you want to go for that really cool move that doesn't have a mechanic attached to it, we can find a way to make it happen.
