About the adventure

They say Drakkenheim fell in a single night. No warning. No omen. Just a star burning, screaming, tearing through the sky before it struck the heart of the city and shattered it into something unrecognizable. Now, years later, Drakkenheim stands as a carcass picked clean and yet somehow still bleeding. No king rules here. No law holds. Only ambition. Various factions circle the ruins like wolves, each with their own claim to what was lost. Some seek to restore the city. Others to control it. Some even believe something divine, or maybe damned, was born the night it fell. They all agree on one thing: the ruins hold power. Power in the form of delirium crystals, strange fragments of the fallen star that glow with arcane promise… and terrible cost. Treasure hunters, mercenaries, scholars, zealots—many have come seeking fortune or answers. Most don’t return. Those who do are changed. They speak of streets that shift when unobserved. Of creatures that were once human, now warped into something hungry and wrong. Of voices echoing through the haze, calling out with familiar tones from long-dead lips. But still, people come. Because beneath the danger lies opportunity. Ancient vaults that remain sealed. Noble secrets that lie buried. Forbidden magic that lingers in the bones of the city. And somewhere, deep within the shattered heart of Drakkenheim, the truth of what happened still waits. You are not heroes yet. You are scavengers, opportunists, or perhaps something more desperate. Whatever brought you here, you’ve chosen to step into the ruins where others have failed. The haze is thick. The factions are watching. And the city is not as dead as it should be. What are you willing to risk… to claim what Drakkenheim offers?

About me

Welcome, Adventurers. I’ve been running and playing tabletop RPGs for over 20 years, and what keeps me coming back is simple. I love creating stories with people. My goal at every table is to build a space where players feel comfortable, engaged, and excited to see what happens next. I focus on immersive, narrative-driven games supported by rich worldbuilding, dynamic NPCs, ambient music, and character-driven moments. Whether it’s a tense combat, a ridiculous bit of table shenanigans, or a scene that hits a little harder than expected, I aim to strike that balance between fun, freedom, and meaningful storytelling. Player agency is at the heart of how I run games. If you’ve got a wild idea, I’m probably going to find a way to make it work. I believe the best moments come from collaboration, creativity, and saying “yes” when it matters. I’ve run everything from complex systems like Exalted to lighter, more chaotic games like Goblin Quest, and I’m always excited to learn something new. If there’s a system or style you’re curious about, I’m happy to explore it with you. Whether you’re brand new to TTRPGs or a longtime player, you’ll find a welcoming table here. A place where stories connect, choices matter, and every session feels like part of something bigger.

Character creation

Creating your character

- Character creation will largely happen together at session 0 - Characters should have strong motivation for entering the ruins. They could be desperate, greedy, ambitious or something in-between. Your character could be working with or against one of the factions vying for control of the ruins or working towards a different goal entirely. Whatever your character's reasons are, it should be well defined and not something that they could accomplish alone. Give your character a reason for needing to work with a group of strangers whom also need your help in achieving goals of their own.

What to expect

- Microphone needed - Headphones appreciated to avoid echo during game - Links to our Discord, relevant websites and materials will be found in the preparation materials after joining!

What Jonny | Badger Den Games brings to the table

- I hope to bring you all a grand adventure that you remember forever! - A growing Discord community where you can find other players to share your hobby with - A large library of books, homebrew maps, soundscapes and dungeons that continually gets added to I enjoy using different voices to denote a variety of caricatures and making use of ambient sounds and music to help set the tone for the session. I don't expect players to use different character voices (but your welcome to) and the volume of background music/ambiance can be adjusted by the player to fit their comfort level. I am definitely a Rule of Cool GM but the rules are there for a reason and I will generally stay within reasonable bounds of them.

Homebrew rules

Optional rules will be discussed during session 0 and agreed upon by the group.
