About the adventure

This campaign is intended to be heavily episodic and will be set within an adapted version of Eberron(the technologically advanced Dnd setting with an industrial punk vibe). It will be structured to allow for a west marches style drop in/drop out playstyle so people won't feel like they missed any crazy story beats if they have to drop in/out between weeks. I am also cool with people using this campaign to just test out builds and switch it up every once in awhile to see how they like certain things. Wherein a lot of campaigns that would be disruptive to the narrative it won't be so much here. Each of you will be joining a joint-business venture of House Lyrandar and Cannith to bankroll a group dedicated to delving expeditions for profit! For your characterization I want players to think of their characters role on an airship as well as their role in the greater party. Downtime is going to look like working on the airship in travel time to delves, exploring cities on the way, and furthering connections with other members of the company. Since the game takes place exploring out of an airship with a few bases of operation its easy to explain dropping in or dropping out of game for people between weeks. Each week or couple of weeks will focus on one specific job or delve the company has decided to send you on. Your characters are also members of the delve team on top of having roles on the ship so each of you can do exploration and info gathering to help find new delves to retain some agency in the delves you go on as a group. The overall concept being a lot of smaller beat stories with recurring support team members with a healthy dose of exploration and classic dungeon delving. As I like to retain a living world and setting there are things in the background going on that you can investigate as you're interested. As far as starting level I am thinking level two so we start with access to that free archetype that i'm making available to people for their concept. Extra’s on Pricing and pacing of sessions: Session 0 is $5 and the first actual session with me is $10 so I give people two chances for a discounted price to make sure they’ll enjoy my game. If after a session with me you leave a positive review your next session will be $10! I intend to run as close to the 4 hour mark as possible(if the group can go all the way to the end we will!) with maybe a small break in the middle to touch base and use the bathroom.

About me

Howdy ya’ll! I’m Peter and I got my start playing tabletops with DnD 3.5e at a friends birthday party when I was 13 and I’ve been hooked ever since. From there I started playing years of pathfinder 1e with my online gaming friends and transitioned into dming because I loved the storytelling opportunities. Tabletop roleplaying games have always been about community, fun, and expression for me so I do my best to cultivate it in any play space. I believe the most important and fun aspects of tabletop roleplaying come out in the collaboration of everyone involved to advance the story; and this can only happen when everyone feels safe, respected, and like they are an equal part of the story. My whole philosophy as a GM is centered around keeping the story collaborative and fun for everyone involved. Creating investment with my players is key: This always starts with a session 0 where we get everyone on the same page for expectations. Players who join campaigns later will at the least get a quick one on one session 0 to prep. As for details about myself I am a non-straight neurodivergent man doing my best to turn my biggest hobby and passion into a job so I can share the things I love about it with others. When I’m not furthering that goal I am devouring my favorite media which includes everything horror and fantasy on my couch with a lap full of my elderly kitties and my partner by my side.

Character creation

Creating your character

In session 0 we will go over it more in depth but I like to run pathfinder with the free Archetype ruling so people can have more fun concepts, gradual ability progression to make each level count more, and ancestral paragon to be able to really hone in on concepts around your characters ancestry. Pathbuilder 2e is such an incredible app that makes character creation/tracking so easy if you show me during session 0 that you paid for it I’ll discount your first actual session by its cost since it helps me with book keeping. Plus it can really help you map out builds and explore before we even get to session 0 and has settings to implement my extra rules automatically.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a roll20 and discord accounts. If you want to download pathbuilder2e to experiment with builds please do.

What Pert brings to the table

I bring my years of experience as a gm to up the drama and bring characters to life. I use my eye for dynamics to adjust the setting to the power of the party and ensure you're all challenged and engaged. I intend to make sure I sprinkle a decent amount of homebrew additions in npcs and hazards to keep ya'll on your toes.

Homebrew rules

Outside of my character creation outlines I don't implement anything specific; but if you have fun ideas I am totally open to humoring/trying new things!

How Pert creates a safe table

I implement lines and veils, X and N cards, and make sure to take breaks and check in with my players during the session. I also try to be as thorough as possible during session 0 to make sure everyone is on the same page.
