About the adventure
The King and Queen of the Faes' children have been kidnapped and they need your help to get them back. They've put out agents across the planes to find anyone who is heroic or desperate enough to help them. The reward is any boon they are capable of granting; and with their deific power that could be nearly anything to bring dreams to life. Just like their mighty parents the Princes and Princesses of the fae have access to a deep wellspring of magical power that mortals would struggle to wrap their heads around. They have used this power to create the ultimate playhouse for themselves where they can live out stories they write before they enter. This is the wondrous tome they dubbed "Fableot." Once inside they become their characters entirely and must act out the entire story before they can leave. Nefarious forces have taken control of the story to hold the children hostage and hide themselves in the tale to try and gain leverage over the fae royalty. You may not only be the childrens' greatest hope for rescue, but thwarting an evil plot intended to misuse the power of the King and Queen of Faerie could save countless realms. I'm flexible on starting level I could start anywhere from level 1-3 and I am very comfortable with new players. I wrote the hook to allow for more concept driven and open character creation instead of power gaming. I've left it fairly open ended conceptually so we can hammer down the darkness, level of difficulty, and broader themes of this game to fit the group. Outside of that this game is intended to have vague fairytale and twisted storybook themes. In session 0 we'll discuss how dark/horror adjacent we want to go or we can keep it whimsical and comedic! Extra’s on Pricing and pacing of sessions: Session 0 is always $5 and the first actual session with me is $10 so I give people two chances for a discounted price to make sure they’ll enjoy my game. If after a session with me you choose to leave me a positive review I will make your next full-price session $10. I intend to run as close to the 3 hour mark as possible with maybe a small break in the middle to touch base and use the bathroom.

About me
Howdy ya’ll! I’m Peter and I got my start playing tabletops with DnD 3.5e at a friends birthday party when I was 13 and I’ve been hooked ever since. From there I started playing years of pathfinder 1e with my online gaming friends and transitioned into dming because I loved the storytelling opportunities. Tabletop roleplaying games have always been about community, fun, and expression for me so I do my best to cultivate it in any play space. I believe the most important and fun aspects of tabletop roleplaying come out in the collaboration of everyone involved to advance the story; and this can only happen when everyone feels safe, respected, and like they are an equal part of the story. My whole philosophy as a GM is centered around keeping the story collaborative and fun for everyone involved. Creating investment with my players is key: This always starts with a session 0 where we get everyone on the same page for expectations. Players who join campaigns later will at the least get a quick one on one session 0 to prep. As for details about myself I am a non-straight neurodivergent man doing my best to turn my biggest hobby and passion into a job so I can share the things I love about it with others. When I’m not furthering that goal I am devouring my favorite media which includes everything horror and fantasy on my couch with a lap full of my elderly kitties and my partner by my side.

Creating your character
In session 0 we will go over it more in depth but I like to run pathfinder with the free Archetype ruling so people can have more fun concepts, gradual ability progression to make each level count more, and ancestral paragon to be able to really hone in on concepts around your characters ancestry. Pathbuilder 2e is such an incredible app that makes character creation/tracking so easy if you show me during session 0 that you paid for it I’ll discount your first actual session by its cost since it helps me with book keeping. Plus it can really help you map out builds and explore before we even get to session 0 and has settings to implement my extra rules automatically.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You’ll need a roll20 and discord accounts: during session zero we'll discuss if we’d like to use video chat as well I’m more than happy to if it makes it more fun for everyone!
What Pert brings to the table
I do voices and create unique personalities for the npcs to keep interactions fun and interesting. I specialize in setting atmosphere with descriptions and themed encounters. I'm a big fan of dynamic combats where just killing monsters isn't always the goal. I work hard to reward players for creative decisions and getting into character flavor.
Homebrew rules
Other than my character creation rules I don't use much in the realm of homebrew for PF2e. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

How Pert creates a safe table
I utilize Lines and veils, a comprehensive session 0, breaks and open communication during sessions, and X/N cards. When wrapping up sessions, we'll touch base and make sure everyone is feeling okay about the session.
