About the adventure
Welcome to Otari—a bustling lumber town and port on the southern shore of the Isle of Kortos. The sea air carries the scent of salt and pine. Life here is usually quiet: loggers haul timber, fishers return with the day's catch, and merchants haggle in the market square. But lately, something's changed. The old, abandoned lighthouse called Gauntlight—perched on the cliffs a short hike north of town—has begun to glow with an eerie, sickly light at night. Locals whisper it's a bad omen, tied to old legends of monsters and a long-dead sorcerer who once ruled the ruins beneath it. Wrin Sivinxi, the eccentric Varisian fortune-teller and friend to many of you, has asked for your help. She's seen troubling signs in the stars and wants you to investigate Gauntlight before whatever's stirring there spills into Otari. Are you ready to become the town's newest heroes? - Core Premise: The ancient lighthouse atop Gauntlight Keep has lit up with a baleful glow for the first time in centuries. The people of Otari fear this signals the return of Belcorra Haruvex, a powerful undead drow sorcerer defeated 500 years ago by a group of adventurers. You (the players) are Otari’s newest protectors and must descend through the multi-level megadungeon to stop her. Themes: Dungeon delving, body horror, undead/aberrations, faction politics, exploration, and rising dread.

About me
Hey adventurers! Name's Alex and I'm 28. I've been playing TTRPGs for about 8-ish years now and been a Dungeon Master for about half of that, so I'm a little bit on the newer side compared to most other DM's on here. I'm just your average Joe Schmo that enjoys roleplaying and telling a cool, fun and interesting story.

Creating your character
Character creation will be done during session 0. We will be discussing everyone's ideas and options: - Starting level: 1 - Free archetype rule - Ancestry Paragon rule - Rare ancestries are allowed, so long as you can give me a good reason for them being there.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Everyone must have a discord for voice chat, and decent PC able to run foundry VTT.
What Alex brings to the table
Maps, music, art, automated combat, and some basic (a bit mediocre) voice acting.
Homebrew rules
We will be using critical success and fumble decks: For those who don't know it, it simply means, when you roll a natural 1 or 20 you draw a card for an additional effect, ex: on a nat 1, you draw a card that says you drop your weapon. Or, on a nat 20, you draw a card that says triple damage.
