About the adventure
On the neon lit streets of New Sharn, corruption is imminent, people frequently "disappear" and there's always someone who wants someone dead. But someone has to be there to clean up these putrid streets, right? Take on the role of a poor soul in the City of Neon Towers, trying to make it through this tough world. Be it collecting bounties in the war-torn lands surrounding the city, thwarting corporate take overs, fending off gang fights, hunting down escape monsters, or (especially) solving mysteries. This Campaign ties together two ideas. The war-torn world of Eberron and the fun Neo-Noir mysteries of games like Nobody Wants to Die. If you like the magic of dnd, the cool high-tech of cyberpunk/sci-fi, the fun of exploring a giant map, and the intrigue of detective style mysteries, then this is the campaign for you! Despite being structured with mysteries in mind, any type of character will still be obvious options, like Spies, Street Toughs, Gang Members, Hackers, ect. Sometimes ya gotta rough someone up to get information, hack into the building mainframe to shut off the cameras or just have someone who interrogate the local sewer rat population. It's all part of the fun! So, grab your Trenchcoats, holster your laser pistol, and turn up the jazz if you're ready to start your sleuthing!

About me
I have been playing dnd for about the last 8 years. 7 of which I spent running my own games with my friends. This built outward after I left High-school and began running games for new people. Since then I have ran dnd games for 7 different groups of varying skill levels, from one group who had never played, to another group of long time dnd veterins. I have also run a group of 7 players in one campaign and 14 players once in a one shot. I have also in my time DMing helped run a DND Club at my University before I graduated, wherein I also ran special Holiday One-Shots (my favorite being saving Santa from a Hag that's basically just Maria Carey)

Creating your character
Character creation will be held during a Session 0. Both so we can get character race, class, background, and starting equipment worked out but also so we can have some time for introductions!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I will be hosting games through Roll20, so an account will be necessary. I would also ask them to have access to Discord, since that is where I post most custom art for the campaign.
What Noa brings to the table
I am a firm believer that the rules are always innately a guideline, so though I usually respect the rules, I strive to give my player the opportunity to ask if they can try something off rules to solve a problem. I will always reward creativity and flavorful decisions over just playing strictly as written. I am also a firm believer that a good dnd session has to include three things, Role-Play, Combat, and Comedy. I love great character moments that help naturally move the story forward, I love making combats that are hard and have more elements then "kill that guy", and I like throwing in some funny side characters to keep the energy going. On the subject, I love NPCs and there is always one or two that manifest without my pre-planning involved. I also love NPCs that players bring to me and will always do my best to incorporate them into the story. I also love music, so ambient music, battle music, scene specific music, I always have a playlist ready to fit the vibe of the session.
Homebrew rules
Major Homebrew Rules I use: Stow and Switching Weapons is a free action (Nobody got time for that), Potions are a Bonus Action, Other than that I am always open to work with a player to make some homebrew stuff, be it subclasses, races, backgrounds, feats, etc. Homebrew is my jam and my peanut butter.

How Noa creates a safe table
The Session 0 I intend to have, outside of the mechanical set up reasons, will also be for me to send them a Consent Form, just so I can in a straightforward (and anonymous) way understand any clear lines in the sand, and any potential veils, as well as have a way to communicate if any other complications or details need to be worked out further. Alongside this I intend to have regular breaks around the 2-hour mark (if the players want/need), as well as be free after the session so we can as a collective chat and decompress from the session and go over Stars and Wishes for future sessions. I also fully intend to use the X, N, O concept both through webcam and private chat, just to make sure no undiscussed line is crossed. I will also have an Open Door Policy open, so that if the player needs to step away that will always be a free and open option. If this does happen, I will also always be free to discuss the issue in whatever method is most comfortable for the player in question.
