About the adventure

Dragon of Icespire Peak is the perfect first adventure. You do not need any experience, any books, or any special equipment to join. Just show up ready to have fun, and I will handle the rest. We will learn the game together, and I promise you will feel like a hero by the end of your very first session. What is this game? Dungeons and Dragons is a collaborative storytelling game where you and a small group of friends create characters and go on adventures together. Think of it like a movie where YOU are the main character, and the story changes based on what you decide to do. There are no winners or losers. The goal is just to have a great time and tell an awesome story together. What is the story? The town of Phandalin is in trouble. A fearsome white dragon named Cryovain has swept down from the mountains, driving monsters into the surrounding lands and terrorizing anyone who gets in his way. The town guard is overwhelmed. The roads are dangerous. And the people of Phandalin are desperate for someone, anyone, to step up and help. That someone is you. What starts as protecting a small frontier town will grow into something much larger. Over the course of this campaign and beyond, you will travel from Phandalin to the coastal town of Leilon, uncover the schemes of sinister cults, and eventually face off against the followers of not one but two evil gods. This is a complete campaign that takes your character from level 1 all the way to level 13, with a real beginning, middle, and end. What should I expect at the table? Every session is welcoming, relaxed, and beginner friendly. I will walk you through character creation before we start playing, explain the rules as we go, and make sure everyone at the table feels included and comfortable. There is no pressure to be a great roleplayer or know the rules perfectly. All you need to bring is your imagination. Sessions run approximately 3 hours. We play using DnDBeyond with voice chat over Discord. Who is this game for? This game is designed for complete beginners. If you have watched Stranger Things, Critical Role, or any actual play content and thought "I wish I could try that," this is your chance. Players of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome, and the table is an inclusive and friendly space for everyone. Ready to roll your first dice? Spots fill up fast. Send me a message or book your seat today, and let's start your adventure together.

About me

Hello, it's me, a Forever GM. I have been running games for over a decade and have been figuring out online ttrpgs for the better part of 4 years now. I enjoy telling the story, and letting players attempt wild and crazy shenanigans just to see what they can get away with. I've been informed my GM style is "fast and frenetic over grit and structure", since the ultimate goal is to enjoy it. I always try to reward creativity in an authentic way and do my best to engage player ideas and direction with an open mind. I know im not perfect My longest running campaign, in the homebrewed cityscape of Wregate, has enjoyed nearly weekly sessions for over just over 2 years now.

Character creation

Creating your character

Creating your character is one of the most enticing parts of Dungeons and Dragons, and I want to make sure it feels fun and not overwhelming, especially if this is your first time. Not sure where to start? I've got you covered. I have a set of pre-made characters ready to go that are built specifically for this campaign. If you are brand new and just want to jump in and start playing without worrying about the details, grab one of these and we will make it your own together. Alternatively, if you want to build your own character from scratch, I will walk you through every step either before Session 1 or during our first session together. Character Creation Rules: All characters start at Level 1. Levels are awarded through Milestone achievements as we progress through the campaign, so you will always level up at meaningful story moments rather than counting experience points. For stats, we use a 2d6+6 roll, which means your characters will feel capable and fun to play right from the start. You can roll in person or use our Discord dice channel with the /statsroll command, whichever you prefer. Race and Class: Any official 5e race and class is welcome at this table, including all official subclasses. If you have your heart set on something from an older edition, just ask and we can talk about it. Starting Equipment and Gold Every character starts with their standard class equipment plus 1000 gold pieces and your choice of either two Common magic items or one Uncommon magic item. You can also spend your starting gold to purchase additional magic items: Common items cost 100 gold and Uncommon items cost 500 gold. The only restriction is no Rare or higher gear at level 1. This system is intentionally generous. Your character can be strong, aesthetic, loaded with fun little magic trinkets, or all three. There is no wrong way to build within these rules, and nothing is banned at this table. The Bottom Line is: Whether you use a pre-made character, build your own with my help, or come in with a fully fleshed out concept ready to go, you will have everything you need before we roll our first dice together.

What BaronBattleBread brings to the table

What I Bring to the Table: Every session is set up, virtual tabletop with dynamic maps, official artwork, and an ambient music soundtrack that shifts with the mood of the story. Whether you are sneaking through a goblin camp or standing face to face with a white dragon, the atmosphere will always match the moment. My GM Style: I am a storytelling and roleplay focused GM. That means your character's personality, backstory, and decisions will shape the world around you. NPCs will remember what you did. Your choices will have real consequences. And the moments that matter most will feel earned. additionally I run a Rule of Cool table. That means if you want to try something creative, dramatic, or just plain awesome, I will find a way to make it work. The rules exist to serve the story, not the other way around. If you have a wild idea, bring it to the table and let's see what happens. That said, I will always be clear about what is and is not possible so you never feel lost or caught off guard. What to Expect Every Session: A fully prepared VTT Official D&D artwork and immersive ambient music A GM who is invested in YOUR character's story A welcoming, no-judgment space where every playstyle is respected Clear rule explanations whenever you need them, no experience required What I Ask of You Show up, have fun, and be kind to your fellow players. Everything else we can figure out together.
