About the adventure
Here's the version I gave you previously, polished to fit your current style: The world doesn't exist yet. We'll build it together. • Pick the campaign Choose the kind of story you want to tell, then customize it as a group. A dying world swallowed by darkness. A forest fighting back. Giant monsters rising from the earth. Or something else entirely. • Make it your own Change the factions. Rewrite the history. Add new places, people, and problems. Nothing is set in stone. • Connect your characters Friends. Rivals. Family. Shared history that actually matters. • Fill the world with adventure Forgotten ruins. Local legends. Strange mysteries. The kind of places you'll actually want to explore. • Watch it grow Every session adds something new. The choices you make become part of the world, and new players help shape what comes next. No giant lore document. No homework before Session 1. Just a group of people building their own storybook world, then seeing where the story takes them. [[Beginner & LGBTQIA2S+ Friendly]] -------------------------------- 📣See what Carlos has to say about my GM'ing: "I'd been curious about DnD for ages, but always held back b/c the whole "roleplaying" thing felt intimidating. Enter Leland, who made my first session absolutely magical. Even before we started, Leland was amazing. He walked me through character creation with so much patience and enthusiasm that I actually felt excited instead of nervous. Once we jumped into the game, it was clear immediately how much heart Leland pours into his campaigns. His voice acting?🤌. Every npc has their own distinct personality and voice, which brought the whole world to life. What really sets Leland apart for me is his genuine welcome to newcomers and his encouragement to participate, using simple prompts that let everyone shine at the table. He champions ideas, encourages creativity, and creates a supportive atmosphere that makes you feel like you've been playing ttrpgs forever. I was having so much fun that I didn't hesitate to join a second campaign of his! If you're on the fence about trying a ttrpg, Leland is your person. He turned my hesitation into pure excitement, and I look forward to our weekly sessions! Couldn't recommend him more highly."

About me
Hey everyone, I’m Leland. Some of y’all probably know me online as Leopold the Just. I’ve been obsessed with tabletop RPGs since the early 2000s and somehow still love this hobby just as much now as I did back then. Outside of GMing, I’m usually at concerts, playing board games, getting lost in strategy games and RPGs, camping, traveling, trying good food, wandering through museums and aquariums, or planning my next tattoo. As a GM, I lean hard into strange mysteries, creepy places, emotional roleplay, and NPCs that stick with people long after the session ends. Some games feel cozy. Some feel awful in the best way possible. Sometimes both happen in the same night. If you like character-driven stories and worlds that react to what you do, you’ll probably fit in just fine at my table. --- What to expect at my table and in the community: • Story-first sessions with a big focus on character growth and roleplay • Fast, cinematic combat that stays tense and easy to picture • A world that reacts to what you say and do • Group storytelling and shared worldbuilding where your choices leave marks behind • A relaxed, inclusive space where people can show up as themselves • $5 community one-shots for active members that mix players from different campaigns together • Community hangouts outside the games too: video game streams, board game nights, watch parties, and more! So pull up a virtual chair and let’s tell some stories together!

Creating your character
Given that this is a new game, we will get together during session 0, and make them together! We will follow the step by step instructions in the book as a group, and then take some time to establish relationships between these characters afterwards, using collaborative lore building methods.
Fanewick was once a place of great abundance and peace... dangerous to those unfamiliar with the land, but a cornucopia to those who respected its ways. When Haven invaded the wilds and forced the land into eternal spring, a dangerous bloom known as the Witherwild took hold and now threatens the lives of all who live there. In a Witherwild campaign, you’ll play unlikely heroes from humble beginnings who are reckoning with their newfound duty to save Fanewick’s people from dangerous corruption...

How Leland House Jr. creates a safe table
I'll have everyone submit lines/veils/interests via DMs, then I will distribute a pdf document for the other players to have on hand or have it as a handout in the VTT of choice. Then we'll go over them during session 0, along with making characters and doing some collaborative storytelling to establish relationships between said characters. I typically post a custom agenda the day before session 0 begins.
