About the adventure

* This Campaign will be an asynchronous Play-by-Post game * For centuries, rumors of buried riches have attracted treasure seekers and opportunists to the area around Phandalin, but no one has ever succeeded in locating the lost mine. In recent years, people have resettled the area. Phandalin is now a rough-and-tumble frontier town. More importantly, the Rockseeker brothers—a trio of dwarves—have discovered the entrance to Wave Echo Cave, and they intend to reopen the mines. Unfortunately for the Rockseekers, they are not the only ones interested in Wave Echo Cave. A mysterious villain known as the Black Spider controls a network of bandit gangs and goblin tribes in the area, and his agents have followed the Rockseekers to their prize. Now the Black Spider wants Wave Echo Cave for himself, and he is taking steps to make sure no one else knows where it is.

About me

As a writer for the game industry, I thought it would be beneficial to take my talent and upgrade from player to Game Master. I spent two years running various campaigns for multiple groups, both module-based and homebrewed, and have practiced my skills in this role before deciding to join this site. Now, I believe I can deliver an entertaining and unique experience.

Character creation

Creating your character

All stats should be rolled with the standard 4d6 drop the lowest system. I do like to be on a call via Discord with the player as the character is being created so I can better understand what they are looking for their character to be in the adventure. It also allows me the opportunity to aid in the creation if the player has any questions.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Add me on Discord, have a mic ready to use, and have a Roll20 account. These are the only two aspects a player needs to participate in my campaigns. I stream the campaigns on Twitch (mostly for player reference reasoning) and with that, each player has the opportunity to use a webcam, but that is optional.

How Dean Clark creates a safe table

- Even before we begin, I will be available to help with your Character Creation process. Also, a questionnaire will also be provided so I can provide the best possible experience for the party. - During Session 0, we will have our initial meeting of the players and an introduction of myself (the DM), the campaign details will be discussed (such as length, ending level, what to expect, etc.), and the beginning of the game will take place. - After each session, I will be available to receive any feedback, answer questions, and openly discuss the experience.
