Mausritter - Honey In The Rafters
Arriving in a field of sunflowers, you approach a shed left untouched by humans. Bees flit through the air though one sunflower stands out starkly.

About the adventure
Playing a one shot of Mausritter; a game where you play as mice in a human sized world. An excellent game for newbies and those looking to get into TTRPGs without the baggage. Explore, learn to think on your paws and fight when you have the advantage. Genuinely, it's pretty newcommer friendly in the sense that there's 3 main stats and everything else is pretty straight forward. You are still mice so you'll need to be canny and careful to avoid being eaten.

About me
My aim with any adventure I run, or write, is that there's something big you can always tell your friends about when they ask about it. "Oh! We played Texas Hold'Em against a Mind Flayer. Turns out he sucks at it." "Yeah, we made a Ballroom Gown because a Dragon bet us big we couldn't do it." "So, we're people that run the subway and we stop a hostage situation." I tend to go for big, interesting situations, looking for the means to elevate a player and give them something cool or fun to do. Tend to side towards pulp adventure over grim and dower (not that I can't pull that card if I need to), with a natural side towards levity and excitement. I'm a great GM for when you want a fun or farcical evening trying your best to handle circumstances bigger than you know, yet somehow getting somewhere. I collect books like crazy. Granted; I can do D&D 5e but I also happily can run Cortex Prime, Mausritter, Fabula Ultima, DCC, 13th Age (1st Edition or 2nd), Fate Core, Cypher, Flabbergasted!, Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e, Age of Sigmar Soulbound, Quintessence, Into The Odd and have recently be reading up on doing Gamma World 4th Edition. I have a plethora of possible games to throw around (some I haven't mentioned here) and am always collecting new ones. You are never limited to what you're familiar with; I can always teach something new to your group with ease. Especially for players just getting into the hobby: I cannot recommend Mausritter enough.

Creating your character
Character creation takes five minutes and will happen when you start. It does not require any major work or prep on your part. It's pretty Old School in that regard.
You are all mice. Everything else is generated on the fly.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I would recommend coming in with an aim to just play whatever you end up rolling and not caring about if they live or die too badly until, like...level 2. Otherwise, make sure you have a Discord account. Dice are nice but optional as I use Foundry VTT.
What Kieran brings to the table
I provide the Foundry VTT server to play in, complete with digital tiles, knowledge of the rules and character sheets. I also take a very relaxed and interpretive stance on Mausritter because it's very loose as a ruleset. You make up something interesting, I am likely to roll with it. Even if it's dumb. You don't need to be a genius and I will often prod or suggest things you can do. Such as creative or unusual uses for your kit, which is the main means you will achieve anything in this game. Your gear is your class, in a way. If you can use that pot of glue for something cool, go for it. I also tend to do voices and try to embody different characters as best I can.

Safety
How Kieran creates a safe table
Session 0 will likely be quick before a game or done in part before we meet up as I get together what everyone's comfortable with. Any means of getting my attention or halting the game can be done privately over text or by making an 'X' with your fingers over camera (if you want to appear on camera). Though, I would also accept a Traffic Light system (Red, Yellow and Green for X, N and O). I will usually handle aftercare by trying to determine what you need with gentle questions and doing what I can. Even if that's to sit quietly for a bit or direct you to pet something soft.
