About the adventure

Twelve imperial families rule Crismantia as Living Gods. They once saved the continent with Moon Lacrimas, divine tears of the Moon Goddess, and for generations their crowns have meant order, safety, and fear. Then a golden divine summons finds your character. The angel Amebraiel gives your party an impossible mission: investigate the twelve emperors, uncover what they are hiding, and decide whether their rule deserves to survive. This is a beginner-friendly, roleplay-heavy D&D 5e campaign in a custom high-fantasy setting. Expect moral choices, powerful rulers, ancient ruins, political tension, personal backstories woven into the world, and combat when danger or player choices call for it. You start at level 3, use point buy, and play through Discord and D&D Beyond. Are the Living Gods tyrants, necessary protectors, or both? If the crowns fall, will Crismantia be saved… or broken? Session 0 is free. We’ll build characters, set expectations, discuss safety tools, and make sure the group fits before the paid campaign begins. In this campaign, you will: Investigate a divine conspiracy surrounding twelve imperial families. Decide whether to oppose, expose, bargain with, or even support powerful rulers. Explore ancient ruins, monster-haunted lands, and cities shaped by divine rule. Build characters whose backstories matter to the world. Start as level 3 adventurers and grow into people who can change history.

About me

I’m Aster, a player-focused GM who runs roleplay-heavy D&D 5e campaigns in custom fantasy worlds. My games focus on player agency, character choices, living worlds, political tension, and stories that grow from what the party does. I like giving players freedom without letting the game become random chaos. Rule of cool is welcome at my table, but the world still has logic, consequences, and limits, so victories feel earned. My strongest area is roleplay, worldbuilding, and adapting to player choices. Combat happens when danger, story, or player decisions call for it, and I try to make those fights matter.

Character creation

Creating your character

I will help with character creation before the first session, if possible. Stats use point buy, characters start at level 3, and this is a custom campaign, so no specific material is required.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

First, players will need a Discord account, as sessions and communication will mainly be done through it, as well as a D&D Beyond account, since the character sheets and maps will be available there. Second, aside from the two previously mentioned, there will be no added apps to download or accounts to be made. Third, as said before, Discord will be used, but the server in question will be explicitly for the game, and will only include me as the DM, and the other players who join this campaign.

What Aster brings to the table

I run character-driven games where player choices matter. Expect in-depth roleplay, a living world that reacts to your actions, flexible rulings, and rule of cool within fair limits. Combat appears when the story, danger, or player choices make it meaningful, not just to fill time. I use theater of the mind for most scenes and D&D Beyond Maps when positioning matters. I do light voice variation when possible, focus on clear descriptions, and weave PC backstories into the main plot.
