About the adventure
This is an ALIEN roleplaying game which is set primarily on a single location: Space Station Acheron, a support hub for the multi-nation colonization and exploration taking place along the Cold Frontier, a strip of space teeming with resources and unexplored worlds. As the working crew of the station, it's up to you to keep an eye not just on the people living on Acheron, but on the many worlds being explored and settled for the first time. Thankfully, Weyland-Yutani will be here to assist you every step of the way. Together, you will build a better world in the cold depths of space. This game will feature: Corporate & Political Intrigue: The Cold Frontier is a prize that different political and corporate factions are competing for. They will promise anything in return for your loyalty, but is power really worth your soul? Alien Horror & Cosmic Mystery: The universe is immeasurably older than humanity, and contains and infinity of things we'll never fully understand. Every day, the colonists settling the Cold Frontier try to dredge up those mysteries and bring them home to make a quick buck. Base Building & Custom Miniatures: The game will be played in a 3D VTT with a fully realized space station map to play and explore in. As the station crew it's well within your power to build and change this map according to your specifications and needs - as long as you have the money and materials to pull it off. I'll also work with you to create a unique heroforge miniature for you to import into the VTT.

About me
Hi! My name is Zara Bamford and I live in Chicago, IL, with my partner and our adorable little monster of a cat. I’m passionate about history, comic books, medieval fantasy, science-fiction, and cooking. I’ve been DM’ing professionally for over three years on the convention circuit and have run D&D 5th Edition, Arkham Horror, and Star Wars: Edge of the Empire at major conventions like Gencon, Gamehole Con, and Pax Unplugged on behalf of Asmodee. I got my start in tabletop gaming with Warhammer 40,000, and spent countless hours hunched over kitchen tables and patios in my youth waging epic battles with plastic and metal figurines, but I always craved something more than just tactical combat - I wanted narrative, an epic adventure to accompany awesome battles. I wouldn't start truly DM'ing till college however, where I started a Rogue Trader campaign for my friends which continues to this day!

How Zara creates a safe table
In Session 0 we'll go over the Lines & Veils for the game, as well as the Red/Yellow/Green card system I use in play to monitor scenes. This is a horror game with emotionally intense material, so it's important that we as a table have tools to keep us safe!
