About the adventure
STEP BOLDLY INTO THE MOURNLAND! Near the end of the Last War, the nation of Cyre was demolished in a cataclysmic event known as the Day of Mourning. What remains of Cyre is now called the Mournland. It is said that only the foolhardy and the desperate venture into that place. An outpost called Salvation has sprung up in the nation of Breland on the fringe of the Mournland, populated by desperate scavengers hoping to make money by looting valuable items from Cyre’s smoking remains: an area they call the Gray. Scavengers join together to form Salvage Crews that brave the unpredictable, and often deadly, landscape of the Mournland, finding items of value and then getting out before the lingering magic of the cataclysm destroys them. The brokers of Salvation pay good coin for artifacts scavenged from the haunted battlefields of the Mournland. In this nest of cutthroats, daring explorers gather to carve their destinies from the ruins of Cyre. They’ll need all the help they can get: it’s no secret that most scavengers don’t survive their first expedition in the Gray. The Oracle of War campaign begins with the characters as scavengers, adventurers who head into the highly dangerous Mournland to locate and extract artifacts. Based on those initial scavenging missions, the adventurers soon find themselves embroiled in a world-spanning adventure that will take them from levels 1 to 20. ***We will be using the 2014 5e version of the rules for the entirety of this adventure.***

I am very passionate about creating an immersive online experience, with great maps, music, and sound effects. I’ve been running online games for many years now, and feel very confident in my techniques and creating a fun and awesome game. I love running epic combats, high tier play, and role playing. Right now I am only running DnD 5e 2014 rules.

What Dev Alva brings to the table
I work hard to provide an immersive online experience for my players. I use music and soundscapes to set the mood. I use imagery for theatre of the mind roleplay, and beautiful maps from various sources for combat and exploration. I am constantly improving my roll20 room with effects and visuals for you all to enjoy. I make sure to give everyone a chance for their character to shine, and play to their strengths and abilities. In my games you can expect challenging combat, great improvisation, and an immersive world to play in. I put player agency and involvement first, and I want to emphasize the fact that this game is a cooperative environment between myself and the players. I run my games RAW, or rules as written. If you have a rules question for me that I haven't come across before or forgotten about, I will pause the game momentarily to look it up and make sure everything is according to the spirit of the rules. I reference Sage Advice/Jeremy Crawford tweets, but have my own opinions as well (such as the interpretation of magic missile, shield master feat, and dispel magic). I have one homebrew rule, and that's you can bonus action drink a potion.
