About the adventure

Welcome to the party! Our adventurers will be exploring an introductory adventure - "Vecna: Nest of the Eldritch Eye", which will lead them into "A House Divided" by the creators of Foundry VTT - that will take them from levels 5-10 in a gothic horror setting full of drama, intrigue, and opportunity for roleplay, as well as challenging and strategic combat. Once the introductory adventure is finished we will transition into the WOTC purbished adventure "Vecna: Eve of Ruin" which will take the party on an adventure of epic proportions, and carry them all the way to level 20 to face off against one of the greatest evils the multiverse has ever known. We will be using the 2024 ruleset and all expanded material that has been released for that ruleset for the world of Faerun/greyhawk. The DM has content sharing available for all of the 2024 content that will be of use in the campaign, and will provide access upon signup.

About me

As a long time TTRPG player in many formats and a recent master of the VTT arts in foundry, I have crafted environments from high resolution maps, dynamic lighting, sound effects, curated music and every bit of cutting edge virtual table top technology I can muster to bolster my robust experience as a storyteller in order to provide the most immersive and comprehensive virtual table top experience possible. I have integrated high level automations and unique features into my foundry table, including functional and easy to use looting, gathering and crafting systems, NPC merchants, and sleek quest log and journal management which are sure to provide the most elite, developed online DND experience you have ever had.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will be finalizing our characters during session zero. Characters start at level 5, and may use all of the 2024 source material excluding Eberron. Characters will be made in DnD beyond using the DM provided content sharing options, and characters will be discussed and finalized during session zero.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

First and foremost you will need a computer that can competently run foundry, which includes a mouse with a wheel and a reliable internet connection. Details on recommended specifications can be found here under "Client Requirements": https://foundryvtt.com/article/requirements/ On that computer you will need the following: A Standalone Discord Client - Using a browser tab to run discord while running foundry is not advised, as the latency becomes extreme. A Free DnDBeyond account - No purchase necessary, content will be shared by the DM

What Squizard The GM brings to the table

I will be bringing a Foundry license for us to play on, DnDbeyond content to be shared for character creation and reference, a wide variety of character voices and ambient music for atmosphere, and an in-depth knowledge of the game. Combat will be challenging and deadly, RAW is the baseline, but if you can come up with something cool exceptions will be considered in epic moments.

Homebrew rules

We will be sticking mostly to rules as written, but we will discuss some homebrew options at session zero, including but not limited to: crunchy crits, bonus action potions, and lingering injuries, and other options that the players might find interesting as we discuss our expectations and hopes/dreams.
