About the adventure
The oldest laws of the multiverse are breaking, and the cosmic warden has been forced to awake. After eons of silence, the most primordial Marut in existence has stirred. It did not move to punish or enforce. Instead, upon its ancient, stone form, a list of names began to etch itself into being—a ledger of the world's most powerful beings. This is not a researcher's theory; it is a verdict from reality itself. They call the affliction the Corruption. It warps the fundamental nature of its victims, turning the boastful cunning and the benevolent cruel. But the List was not the first sign. That was the death of Hepheremos the Empyrean. Her celestial form was found shattered from within, a casualty of her own catastrophic attempt to cure herself—a grim warning that raw power is no match for this enigmatic plague. You are not on the list. You are the intervention. The Marut's Ledger is a declaration of a system failure, and you are among the few mortals powerful enough to be tasked with the impossible: diagnose a reality-wide sickness and perform surgery on the fabric of existence, before the next name on the list meets a fate worse than death. The Campaign: This is a level 17+ campaign set in the Forgotten Realms, using 2024 updated rules. You will begin as one of the most powerful mortals to ever walk Faerûn. This is not a simple boss rush. Your enemies are the entities on the List: ancient, intelligent, and now unpredictable. They have layers of protection, legions of followers, and are shielded from all divination. To confront them head-on is to risk sharing Hepheremos's fate. Victory will come from your wits as much as your wrath. For the Arcane and Divine: Wield spells like Wish, Control Weather, and Mirage Arcane to reshape the world and uncover truths hidden from scrying. Your magic will be key to creating opportunities where none exist. For the Martial and Strategic: Your strength alone cannot fix this. Forge alliances, command armies, and become a faction leader. Your influence and tactical genius will be your greatest weapons, allowing you to wage a war on a scale that no single individual can manage. Your quest will take you across planes and into dealings with powers that predate the gods. But be warned: as you investigate the corrupted, you will draw their gaze. And when you are as powerful as they are, your greatest vulnerabilities are not your own life, but the lives of those you hold dear.

About me
Me Hey there! I’m Pedro, but online I go by TompsonX. I used to run The Adventurer’s Guild, a D&D 5e community server with over 5,000 sessions played, and I’ve been a professional DM for over 8 years. I currently run two active campaigns, but I’m almost always looking for players in the GMT 18:30–23:00 time slot. My games focus on roleplay and meaningful combat, usually running about 3 hours per session. I like to offer a free trial session so you can see if our styles click before committing. If your schedule doesn’t match my regular campaigns, I’m also available for private or custom sessions—these are a bit more expensive, but perfect if you want to play at a different time. My goal is simple: to make each game fun, challenging, and memorable, while letting your characters shine and shape the story along the way.

Creating your character
Creating a character will be done during or before session 0 We will be utilizing point buy We will be utilizing ONLY 2024 rules We will be starting with 3 items: 1 of offensive variety, 1 of defensive variety and 1 focused on utility. These items will need to be accepted by me. In addition you will also start with 10k gold on top of basic equipment (a fighter can start with plate armor without hitting their budget and a wizard can start with extra spells without hitting their budget) The important thing however is to think about what you want to achieve during the campaign. If you focus purely on being great at damaging things, you might be lackluster in actually getting into the fights in the first place, or your charisma might be too low to even make allies to assist you. Alternatively you might be good at fighting but bad at defending yourself and can easily be stunned or mind controlled early on and have to wait a long time before you get to act again. I strongly suggest preparing yourself with a character that you want to play, both in combat, roleplay and exploration, but that you are aware of your weaknesses so you won't be frustrated by high level gameplay.

What TompsonX brings to the table
What to Expect: A deep, investigative campaign with a focus on problem-solving and strategic planning. Epic, high-stakes combat where every spell and action can change the fate of nations. Intrigue and social gameplay, bargaining with kings, archmages, and celestials. Progression beyond level 20 through epic boons, legendary artifacts, and narrative power-ups. A collaborative story where your choices and actions directly shape the fate of the multiverse. I will prepare Roll20 with: -Custom maps and handouts -NPC combatants -Jukebox music functionality through Roll20 -Macros to facilitate group play -All the 2024 rule options for character creation When it comes to the style of the game, I expect this campaign to be somewhere in the 35 - 65 combat to roleplay/exploration ratio, as most of the time will be spent trying to fight the enemies in your own circumstances instead of simply walking into their traps to obvious death When it comes to rule of cool vs rules as written I almost fully utilize rules as written during combat, but during roleplay I am very okay with rule of cool and clever use of spells in an out of the box fashion. D&D is ultimately a game that gives us more combat tools than roleplay tools, therefore it makes little sense to cheat the combat rules instead of just playing the game with everyone on the same page. On the other hand, we have little roleplay rules so utilizing those spells for interesting ways to deal with things is ultimately the best way to handle it. I also do NPC voices (mostly lowering or increasing the pitch of my voice and less so accents) I am available for questions and assistance both in character creation or after the fact
Homebrew rules
Nothing right now, this campaign utilizes only one NPC sided homebrew rules so far which are secretive for now but rather obvious after the very first boss encounter.

How TompsonX creates a safe table
Session 0 I will go through both character creation, goals for the campaign, what to expect and what not but I will also ask all players if there are any content that they 100% do not want to see in the game, just so we don't get any nasty surprises later on. What I Expect: Players aged 17+ who are comfortable with mature themes and high-level play. A commitment to collaborative storytelling and party cohesion. Players who enjoy creative problem-solving and roleplaying as much as combat. While I haven't used it many times, I've used the X N O cards in Roll20 in campaigns that do have triggers on them. Other than that I like asking players for feedback and things they want to accomplish during the next session at the end of a session so I can better prepare for the next one It is important to note that High Level play isn't always very player friendly. If you hate being a victim to crowd control abilities, or have absolute distaste for being forced to miss a round or two, or even a whole combat it is not recommended that you join this campaign or at least plan accordingly.
