About the adventure
The Odyssey of the Dragonlords is an epic inspired by Greek mythology, with a structured, open world. As you complete major milestones, new parts of the world will become available for you to explore. The goal of the adventure is to explore what it means to be a hero in a land where gods and Titans still walk the earth. For five hundred years, open warfare with the Titans has been prevented by the Oath of Peace. But as the power of the Five Gods wane, the Titans prepare to wage war upon the mortals once again. The Oracle has foreseen the Doom of Thylea, but she has also foreseen you. You have been prophesied to rebuild the ancient Order of the Dragonlords

Creating your character
Starting Level: Level 1 Ability Scores: Heroic Array (16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 10) or Point Buy (30 points). Backgrounds & Feats: We will be using homebrew backgrounds. This system allows you to assign an origin Feat to help realize your character concept right out of the gate. Epic Paths: We will be using the campaign's custom 'Epic Paths' in addition to standard backgrounds. These paths weave your character's ultimate destiny directly into the main story line. Pre-generated Characters: If you prefer to jump right in or want to try something new, I have a roster of fully fleshed-out pre-generated characters ready to face the Titans. We will go over character creation in-depth in Session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Tech Requirements: A stable internet connection, a clear microphone/headset, and a free Discord account for voice chat. Virtual Tabletop: We will be playing on FoundryVTT. You will have an account provided to you from the Dungeon Master. Rumors: Write three rumors about your character that circulates in Thylea’s taverns. These may be rumors of your heroic exploits, ribald jokes about your past exploits, or even mean-spirited gossip. At least one of these rumors must be true, but the others may be exaggerations or outright fabrications
What Marcus brings to the table
I strive to create an immersive, challenging, and highly responsive world. When you sit at my virtual table, you can expect: Tactical, Intense Combat: Encounters are designed to challenge you. Positioning, resource management, and teamwork are crucial to survival. Immersion & Atmosphere: I utilize unique character voices for NPCs and curate ambient music and soundscapes to pull you into the world of Thylea. RAW meets Rule of Cool (ROC): I build my games on a strong foundation of Rules As Written to ensure fairness and predictability, but I will always embrace the Rule of Cool to reward creative thinking. AI Generated Content: The only content that is created by AI is the banner, there is no other use of Generative AI within this campaign.

How Marcus creates a safe table
