About the adventure

When a desperate royal envoy mistakes your ragtag group of villagers for a group of legendary heroes, you’re thrust into a quest meant for myths, not people who argue over bar tabs. Promised titles, land and a king’s fortune, you set out to stop the return of a dreaded Lich Queen all while desperately trying to maintain the illusion that you are the heroes everyone thinks you are. This one-shot blends dark fantasy stakes with humor and roleplay-forward chaos. Expect a mix of social deception, clever problem-solving and high-risk combat where thinking like a hero matters more than actually being one. The tone is Monty Python meets Guardians of the Galaxy. This game is perfect for players who love roleplay, improvisation, and character-driven storytelling, especially those who enjoy leaning into chaos, comedy and emotional moments alike.

About me

Hey there! I’m Maven. I'm a 30-something mom who's also a a cosplayer and a lifelong storyteller who found her way into the world of tabletop games in 2021. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the art of collaborative storytelling through systems like Dungeons & Dragons, Pirate Borg, Blades in the Dark, Perils and Princesses, Vampire: The Masquerade, and Candela Obscura. I started out GMing for friends, but now I’m opening my world to new players who are ready to dive into something a little different and a lot of fun. As a Game Master and a storyteller, I have a passion for dark and high fantasy, as well as horror, and everything I run is completely homebrewed — no modules here. Each story is shaped around the players and their characters, so no two campaigns are ever the same. If you bring me a tragic backstory, I will use it. Or if the campaign becomes your characters tragic backstory, that's even more delightful. I’m also a mental health advocate, and I believe that safety and communication make for the best stories. Every table I run includes a in depth session 0 discussion about lines and veils, so players can explore intense themes while knowing their boundaries are respected. If you’re looking for an immersive, character-driven roleplay heavy experience filled with emotion, mystery, and the occasional monster, my table might just be the right place for you.
