About the adventure

A campaign for players of all level of experience. If you enjoy a long term campaign that's heavy role-playing with combat that's pirate themed, then come join the adventure ☠️ The Devil’s Island ☠️ Gold has a way of finding the desperate… and the foolish. You were both. Seven thousand platinum. Split between strangers. All for a simple job-no blood, no risk, just a staged heist in one of the most luxurious taverns you’ve ever set foot in. Steal a ruby, outplay the competition, walk away richer than you’ve ever dreamed. Easy. It was supposed to be easy. But somewhere between the laughter, the wagers, and the clink of fine glasses… something changed. The other crews never made it back. Their ships were found broken-dragged beneath black waves, crews drowned, cargo lost to the deep. And somehow… every whisper, every accusation, every scrap of evidence points to you. Now you’re not competitors. You’re fugitives. To clear your names, you’ll need to do the unthinkable-steal a ship, outrun the law, and chase the truth across unforgiving seas. But the deeper you dig, the worse it gets. There are rumours. Of an artifact called the veilbreaker, stolen the same night as the ruby. Of storms that rise without warning, swallowing fleets whole. Of the dead… refusing to stay buried. Out on the open sea, it isn’t just pirates hunting you. The ocean remembers. And something beneath the waves wants you dead.

About me

I'm twenty-three years old and have been playing and being a DM for less than a year. D&D has become my focus, as it gave me a meaning that nothing else has. D&D is more than just roleplaying; it gives you confidence, inspires you, and builds connections and skills to work as a team. I find that completely beautiful, which is why I want to run campaigns to see all types of characters and watch as you become a completely different person. Horror is a major focus point for the majority of campaigns, as I find that when thrown into something horrific, a lot of my players surprise me by seeing the good in the NPC, bringing hope or (mayhem), as it shows that while a campaign might be horror and dark, it doesn't have to be bleak and hopeless. I love getting to know my players, not only because it's important as a DM, but I believe it helps build trust so they feel like they are able to come to me with any issues, as sometimes I'm finding out that when you're a DM, sometimes they don't want to bother you with a problem, and I always say no problem is a silly problem if it's bothering you, and I love to have a chat, even if it's not about the campaign. I think in my heart I'm an entertainer and make sure everyone has a good time.

Safety

How Amy creates a safe table

In Session 0 I not only go over knowing what my player boundaries are but I inform my players of my own boundaries. Session 0 is also a great way to manage expectations before the game starts. If due to any reason a problem arise, I will have another session 0 to remind everyone of boundaries and safety techniques I do breaks in the sessions to let my players have a chance to think, let them have a time to rest mentally for 5 or 10 minutes, or how ever long my players need, so they know they are able to get something to eat or go have a toilet break During intense sessions I inform and remind everyone that my Dms are always open so they are aware if they do feel uncomfortable at one point and I am not aware and don't want to say it outright i will take it seriously and make sure to keep the player comfort a priority. At the end of intense sessions I always check in on my players to make sure they are okay
