About the adventure
The world doesn’t announce when it begins to come apart. It breaks down quietly. A moment you swear already happened. A memory that isn’t yours. A place that feels wrong in a way you can’t explain. Then it spreads. Welcome to Aelrith, a living, shifting realm where time itself is beginning to fracture, and reality is starting to misbehave. This is a narrative-first tabletop roleplaying campaign for players who value story, immersion, and meaningful choice over rigid systems or mechanical optimization. You’ll explore dark fantasy regions shaped by creeping temporal anomalies: marsh-bound war tribes riding crystal-powered machines, ancient forests that shift and remember, coastal settlements haunted by whispers beneath the tide, and cities held together by fragile alliances and unseen manipulation. Nothing in Aelrith is static, and every place holds secrets waiting to be uncovered. At the heart of the campaign lies a mystery: something has broken the natural flow of time. Subtle distortions are becoming impossible to ignore—events repeating or warping, creatures behaving erratically, and locations suspended between moments. You won’t begin as destined heroes; you’ll start as capable individuals stepping into situations you don’t fully understand. Your choices matter, and the consequences, immediate and long-term will shape the world, its factions, and what becomes possible or lost. This game is ideal for players who enjoy roleplay, character growth, atmosphere, and discovery. Combat exists, but it serves the story: cinematic, reactive, and driven by narrative stakes rather than constant encounters. New players are welcome! What matters most is a willingness to engage, collaborate, and follow the thread as Aelrith begins to pull at reality’s seams.

About me
Hi, my name is Robbie and I have been playing TTRPG's since 2004. I have an intense passion for world building and collaborative storytelling. I run exclusively homebrew settings that I have been developing for over a decade but I also have experience running pre made modules as well my preferred system is D&D 5.5 but I have been running games since 3.5. I also have some experience running other systems like Pathfinder 1e and 2e. I tend to run sandbox games but I try my best to run a game everyone at the table will enjoy, ensuring a solid session zero is done and safety tools are implemented. I use Foundry VTT exclusively and I do incorporate generative AI art and music made with a commercial license for tokens and background music.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen after the free session zero happens, players should come prepared with a character concept or idea but actual character creation should not be done before hand. Starting level will be 1 and we will most likely go until level 15 to 17 depending on actions taken in game. I will have a D&D Beyond campaign link at session zero with content sharing enabled for players to create characters with. I prefer point buy and standard array stat generation and do not use rolled stats.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I run my games through a Discord sever and voice channel, video is not required but having a suitable microphone is. I run games through Foundry VTT and you will need a Chrome based browser to log into the server, no other programs are required, however some knowledge of Foundry VTT is an asset, it is not required. You will need to join the Discord server before session zero to participate.
What Robbie Scott | Jester & Quill Games brings to the table
I put a lot of prep into my games including ambient music, animated battle maps and spells/abilities as well as automation. I do limited character voices but I do try with important NPCs, I focus on roleplay and narrative but I throw in a fair amount of combat as well. I try my best to tailor the game experience to the players desires and I am very open to discussion and collaborative story telling.
Homebrew rules
Critical Hits - When a critical hit is scored you roll your normal damage as usual and then add the max number you could roll to that, then add bonuses. IE: you critical with a great sword, you roll 2D6 add 12 to that and then add your Str Mod to that. This goes both ways so monsters and NPC's, will also do this. Stealth - Hiding does not give the Invisibility condition, it provides the hidden condition. Hidden gives everyone a -5 to passive perception when not actively looking for you. Full Action Healing Potion - You may use your action instead of your bonus action to take a healing potion. This allows you get the maximum amount of healing from the potion rather then rolling. Death Saves - Death Saves are blind rolls. As the DM I can see them but the players can not see the results. Bloodied Condition - I use this term to let you know when a creature is below half HP. Help Requires Proficiency - To give help for an action the character providing help must have proficiency in that skill.

How Robbie Scott | Jester & Quill Games creates a safe table
Safety discussion will be held at session zero, a checklist is sent out after session zero and due 3 days before the first session. This covers a wide array of topics that you can mark how comfortable you are around various topics. I also used a module with Foundry VTT for the X card and Raise Hand, these are private to the GM and player who has pressed the button so there is no fear or worry needed that others know about using it.
