About the adventure
You're from the streets; you know how fast a fortune can change. Just a spin of a coin and your fortune is gone. Hidden somewhere in the city is an embezzled hoard of gold. Every criminal wants it: Crime Lords, Nefarious Villains, and the Masked Nobles. They're all scheming against each other, which means they're not watching you. You hope that's your edge! We will see. This is the perfect starting campaign for relatively new players to D&D 5e. The whole adventure takes place within the vast living city of Waterdeep. You won't need to be just a party of rogues, but you will need a mixed range of classes and with that skills if you're going to get t the horde first. Bi-weekly sessions will be on positive weeks: for example 5th May , 19th May

About me
Hey there, I'm known as Japes (jay~ps). I caught the bug with D&D as a kid and have never recovered. These days I GM online and several players of my first online games, I'm lucky enough to still game with today. My favourite part of these games, is having a diverse mix of players from around the world, at the table. I've been GMing long enough to know one thing: these games are best when everyone's having fun together. I make sure every table I run a safe, creative space, and all I ask is that we're courteous to each other whether you're playing a 1920s FBI agent hunting Cthulhu Mythos monsters, a piece of Sapient Pearwood in Discworld, or a Fairy Seraph growling at enemies as you fly over the wizard's head in Daggerheart. Playing these characters is exactly why we're here. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Creating your character
• Will be part of Session 0 and we can chat about ideas you have before then. • D&D Beyond will be used for the character build. • Ability rolls will be 4d6 dropping lowest. Totals below 74, can be re-rolled, which makes it higher than Points Buy. • Original character portrait art to fit the setting and style of your character.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
• No experience needed as I really enjoy helping new players understand how to play D&D. • Desire to roleplay your character and be a cooperative player. • No need to use a ‘character voice’, but this is a safe place to try this if you'd like to. Equipment • Reliable PC, with a Chromium browser. • Working gaming headset or mic and headphones. • Webcam is optional but highly recommended. • Free accounts for systems in use, links provided after joining.
What Japes brings to the table
• I’ll bring some voices for those NPCs. • Maps, background music and many great features of Foundry. • Weaving your characters backstory into the adventure. • Open to feedback and using that to improve the game. • A safe place for the party to roleplay. • The game will be flexible, as your choices can adapt the games direction.
