About the adventure
Mothership 1e is a sci-fi horror tabletop role-playing game about surviving the terrifying unknown in deep space. Players take on the roles of desperate crew members—marines, scientists, androids, or technicians—exploring derelict ships, abandoned colonies, and strange planets while facing cosmic threats, hostile environments, and their own rising panic. The game emphasizes tension, survival, and psychological horror. Its rules are fast and lethal, encouraging clever problem-solving rather than combat. As stress builds, characters risk panic and mistakes, making every encounter feel dangerous and unpredictable. Inspired by films like Alien, Event Horizon, and The Thing, Mothership focuses on atmosphere and player choice, creating stories where the question isn’t whether the crew will defeat the horror—but whether anyone will make it home alive. -- You are crew members aboard the HORIZON VII, looking to ek a living while surviving the horrors of deep space. Mothership 1e is deadly so do not expect to survive the whole campaign - instead, challenge yourself and see how many jobs you can survive. --- Please note this is a PLAY BY POST game! What is Play by Post? - Play-by-post (PbP) is a way of playing a tabletop role-playing game through written messages instead of live sessions - Players and the GM post messages on Discord - Each post describes: what your character says, what they do, sometimes what they think or notice - Posts happen asynchronously - You don’t all need to be online at the same time How my Play by Post games work: - I will respond at least 1-2 times every 24 hours - Battlemaps will be provided on Roll20 - Combat is done in this order: players > monsters > players and so on (this is to keep the game moving) Why Play by Post? Play-by-post often: - allows inner monologue and detail - feels closer to collaborative fiction - gives more time to think before acting Great if you: - love writing and character depth - Have time to write a short message at least once a day As always message me if you have any questions. I look forward to rolling with you at the table!

About me
Hi, I'm Lydia! As a child I'd always loved to role play, and when I realized we can still role play for fun as adults I jumped in and never looked back. I fell in love with D&D 5 years ago and have DMed for 2 years, and recently fell in love with Mothership. My goal is to have epic adventures together while making sure everyone has a great time.
