About the adventure
Hired for a simple job, deliver supplies, the party runs into a fearsome galactic force thought subdued. The remote colony world of Nakondis has been captured by the Azlanti Star Empire. Their purpose here is unknown, but their brutality leaves little choice for our heroes. Join the small crew, when just doing a job turns into saving the galaxy. Setting: Within the Pact Worlds, there are people who crave adventure, risk, and the fulfillment that comes from building something from nothing. These people are colonists, who came to the planet Nakondis to make a new life for themselves. Damp, jungle infested, foggy and hot. But the hard work and all they built is in jeopardy when they're attacked, and annexed by the Azlanti Empire for some reason unknown. This adventure will see you travel from the colony world in the Pact to the distant Azlanti Star Empire. One of the first published Starfinder adventure paths, this game is a great intro into the Starfinder universe and system, or a way to drop back into it. This adventure is designed to showcase a lot of the system, from tactical combat, social situations, sleuthing, and starship design and combat. It's a great way to start a long running campaign or just get your feet wet to see if you enjoy the game!

About me
I'm a former stage performer, current educator, writer and video game enthusiast. I've been playing TTRPG's since my brother found the blue box in our games cabinet and we wanted to play. During my time as a player I've constantly tried to stretch my skills by playing characters outside of my comfort zone. Playing paladin's or bards when I would rather be quiet in the back as a rouge or ranger. My love of stories and desire to be a better role player lead me to running games. I've been a game master on and off for most of my life. I have two games currently running for groups of my friends that have been running for more than two years. With these games, goal is to tell broader, more rich stories in collaboration with the players.

Creating your character
We'll be settling in during (the free) session 0 with some character creation on discord and Roll20. I advise you to look over the possible classes, species, and themes before hand to spark your imagination. Or if you have a type of character in mind, we'll figure out how to build them. The compendium and creation wizard will be available during this session to help alongside your GM. All characters will start at level One(1), and stats will be generated on Roll 20 using the roll 4d6 drop the lowest rule. The first addition Starfinder rule's on character creation are a good reference and cover character creation. The rules can be found online on the Archive of Nethis.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
If you don't already, Create a free discord and Roll20 account. We will be chatting and roleplaying over the discord voice platform and the game maps, characters and other materials will be hosted on Roll20.
What Samuel brings to the table
We're building a story, an experience, together. The NPC's you meet will be many and varied, and I try to give them personality along with a voice in the campaign. While written adventure paths have descriptions of the locations, I like to try to give it more. Whether that's some ambient sounds, more detailed information, or even how the setting fits into the overall space. Combat, when unavoidable, is tough, with enemies trying their best to fulfil their goals at the expense of the your characters using all the tricks they have. But not all encounters that start as fights need to end that way, and creativity, insight, and seeking answers is often rewarded. Plus, I love it when players come up with cool ideas we can try.
Homebrew rules
Advantage Tokens: Taken from the GCP and D&D 5e, I like to give players Advantage Tokens. Great role playing, ideas, predictions and fun are rewarded with an Advantage Token. Token's do not expire and you can hold more than one at a time. Players can use them during important moments, dire circumstance, or to ensure thrilling victory. You can also use them to turn enemies into bumbling idiots, ham fisted fools, or drooling dolts. Using a token sacrifices it and gives a player advantage or the GM disadvantage on a role.

How Samuel creates a safe table
It's all going to start in Session 0. I have certain aspects of RP that I am not comfortable with, and it took me a long time to be able to talk to my players about it. So I realize that even if we go over the adventure and discuss it, someone may be uncomfortable discussing their hard lines with a table. Or something might come up during session that someone might not have been prepared for. For this reason, private communications for that are open, and we will have a recap and debrief for every session. Ten to fifteen minutes at the beginning and end of a session where we can go over what happened, discuss issues, and check in with each other. We'll also have our X's, N's and O's programed in Roll20 for you to use. Just grab the card, and throw it onto the table. If you feel the need to keep it private, you can also simply whisper it. You're also free to stop me with it in voice or group chat. Whatever you're most comfortable with.
