About the adventure

In a dark and cursed world lies the city of Luyarnha, a city undergoing a transformation from ancient eldritch powers. In this forsaken city, horrific monsters roam the darkened allies and cobbled roads, searching for their next meal while the moon lies shattered in the sky. With monstrosities leaving none safe, it is up to the Radiant Church to find those who could help take a stand against the evil and save Luyarnha. You wake up within Luyarnha with no knowledge of how you arrived, of the strange city, or any events occurring within it. When you awaken, the moon shatters into a thousand pieces that glisten like stars in the sky while hordes of spirits rampage through the city streets, leaving you no time to waste finding safety. Grab your weapons and fight your way to any kind of sanctuary from the chaos contained within the city, all the while trying to keep your sanity. Experience a tense horror unique to the Steinhardt Sanity System, making the unknown dangers in the city even more terrifying. Make every action count as some abilities and events in the world push forward the Eldritch Beckoning count, where going to high could lead to the city being devoured by an ancient eldritch being.

About me

Hello and welcome to the Tavern! I am an avid TTRPG enjoyer and have been for many years now. I started as a player enjoying D&D 5th Edition but have since moved to being a Game Master and I have not looked back since! While I started with D&D 5th Edition, I have since added many other games to my roster. Some notable examples are Avatar Legends, a TTRPG based on Avatar the Last Airbender, Pathfinder, and Call of Cthulhu, a game focused on the Lovecraftian mythos. I believe variety is the spice of life and I love to try out different systems. If a player wants me to run a system I haven't used before, I am always ready to learn! When running my games, I ensure safety and respect for all players and set clear rules and boundaries. I love players having fun within the game and I feel that the fun should not come at the expense of others. I do not role-play sexual or intimate scenes, so the most that will occur is a fade to black with no details. I have run many games over my years as a Game Master, gaining the experience required to be a great storyteller while keeping creative freedom and flexibility for the shared story-telling aspects of TTRPGs. When playing one of my games, you can expect great story structure and the freedom to do what you want, knowing that it will lead to great improvisational story elements. The storytelling method I use that makes this possible is the diamond structure. Every game has a start and end point, but everything in between can go wherever the players take it I look forward to seeing you in my games!

Safety

How TheTavernTeller creates a safe table

Before or during session 0, a RPG consent checklist must be filled and uploaded in the appropriate channel in my discord in order to play in the game. During session, players can use their X, N, & O's as digital messages in FoundryVTT. After session, I sit with the players and reflect on the game, seeing what went well, what could have gone better, etc. I then ask about the Stars and Wishes of each player to ensure that the game is going in the correct direction.
