About the adventure

One-shot night is just what it sounds like, a night for one-shot games! Every time you sign up we'll spin the proverbial wheel and see what gets run! It could be a lowly escort quest, or a high level save the world time! From mountain escapades to underground stealth missions and everything in between can be done! This is the perfect time to try out a new character or get a glimpse of a possible future for one of your current characters! The other upside is because it is a one-shot, if you don't like it, do something else next time!

About me

Hey there, I'm Gnomes, and I'm super stoked you're checking out my page! I've been a DM for several years now, and honestly, it's one of my absolute favorite things to do. There's just something magical about bringing a world to life and seeing players dive into the adventure. While I definitely believe in the importance of the rules to provide structure, I also think the best D&D moments come from letting your imagination run wild. So, expect a game where the rules serve the story, not the other way around. For me, telling a good, engaging story is key, and I love weaving narratives that will keep you on the edge of your seat and maybe even tug at your heartstrings a little. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or brand new to the world of tabletop roleplaying, I'm always happy to have you at my table. I genuinely enjoy teaching the ropes and helping new players discover the joy of D&D. So, if you're looking for a fun, collaborative, and story-driven experience, let's roll some dice together!

Character creation

Creating your character

You will need to make your character ahead of time! Core (2024 rules) + Expanded options are all fine. Anything else just ask me first! Point buy or Standard Array for stats Any basic starting equipment can be taken. If it is a higher level adventure, I will mention what magic items will be allowed.

The current party

Venture into a dangerous forest to stop a dryad seeking revenge!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need a working mic, camera is optional. Discord and DnDBeyond accounts needed. Have a decent understanding of the rules already will help, but vast experience is definitely not necessary!

What Gnomes brings to the table

I will provide all necessary source material through content sharing on DnDBeyond and a Discord server to play through. We will use DnDBeyond Maps when appropriate and Theater of the Mind otherwise. I lean toward Rule of Cool but firmly planted in what's written as well. The goal is to have fun and tell a story! I will try to include audio/music but I'm still learning to incorporate all of that so bear with me! Beginners welcome!

Safety

How Gnomes creates a safe table

Open Door policy. If anything comes up during a session, mute/camera off, send me a message, anything at all to get my attention and I will stop the session to address the concern right then. Most of my games are generally family friendly, but if there are any particular sensitivities or lines you want addressed, by all means just talk to me beforehand!
