About the adventure
This game is for anyone who wants to get their feet wet with OSR-style gaming, the science fiction genre, cosmic horror investigation, or specifically Mothership the system and the fantastic 1st and 3rd party adventures available for it. I own many of them and would be open to a sandboxy campaign that connects them if all goes well for a long term group.

About me
I started GMing for my weeb friends in college with a silly little RPG called Maid and I have been addicted ever since. I now own entirely too many systems to ever play and love weaving together the many complex story threads that result from collaborative storytelling. I try not railroad unless it's for something really cool. Your agency always matters to me and my favorite thing about this hobby is not knowing where we're going next as a group.

Creating your character
Mothership character creation is super simple and we'll keep it that way. You can download the official companion app on your phone or desktop PC. Information about the app can be found at https://www.tuesdayknightgames.com/pages/mothership-companion-app or you can find it on your OS's app store. You're free to randomize everything or pick to your preference as well as buy things with whatever starting money you are given in the app. It will guide you through the entire process. However, if you have any questions or want to see the player's guide just let me know. This app also handles all automation for gameplay on the player side so we'll be using it in lieu of a VTT.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
As mentioned above, please download the Mothership companion app (https://www.tuesdayknightgames.com/pages/mothership-companion-app). Make a character. Get familiar with it. Beyond that, please have a Discord account and a mic setup that allows for clear communication if you plan on speaking. I can accommodate text-only players as well if that's what works best for you. Just give me a heads up.
What Cody brings to the table
I will be providing the adventures, rulebooks, and appropriate soundscapes to enhance immersion. Mothership is often less about what abilities are on your sheet and more about thinking on your feet. Creative thinking is encouraged and rewarded.

How Cody creates a safe table
This is a cosmic horror game so disturbing and grotesque imagery is core to the genre. That said, I'll do my best to accommodate according to a Lines and Veils document I'll be sending out. I welcome you to ask me to stop and rewind scenes if you don't like what is being portrayed. We'll also take breaks as needed and discuss what did and didn't work for us at the end of the session.
