About me
I am the Mad Catter, I've been running RPG's since I was a wee little Catter, and I will probably stop when I'm dead. Maybe not even then. I have a background in theater, I am a storyteller, and consider one of the heights of the craft to be the collective weaving of tales a group can conjure up. I love running RPG's, and I love teaching RPG's, and to a lesser extent VTT's because, well, that's how I run RPG's after all. My experience is in various iterations of D&D and Pathfinder, however I'm playing other systems and want to play even more. Creating your character
Character Creation will use standard Savage Worlds Adventure Edition rules with modifications for the East Texas University setting. While players can work on their characters ahead of time, actual creation will be done during session 0, particularly so players might build their characters off of one another.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have a microphone or headphones of some kind. Barring that, have a headset that has both, though the former is ideal, we want audio piped into your earholes so your speakers aren't creating an echo. Fantasy Grounds works on a PC or Laptop for Windows, Mac, and I believe Linux. All you need is the demo, and a free account on their website www.fantasygrounds.com Savage Worlds has Test Drive Rules available online, but I'm happy to teach new players the system! We will use audio (and video for those who desire) via Discord, so when you join, send me your Discord handle so I can add you!
What The Mad Catter brings to the table
I'll bring dice, my years of experience, all the modules necessary to play, a selection of audio tracks to aid in the ambiance of the game (especially fun for a modern game in a college setting), some funny voices and bad accents and hopefully months of fun!

How The Mad Catter creates a safe table
While the introduction to game is very tongue-in-cheek East Texas University is still very much a horror setting and campaign, so that is something to bear in mind before joining. All that being said, safety tools will be discussed during session 0 and a brief bit of introductory roleplay will occur. I am newbie friendly, so while the game won't be combat focused, I'll happily run the group through a quick example of combat for Savage Worlds, and I'll teach people how to use the Fantasy Grounds Unity VTT program.
